I know what you mean. I talked myself into a Nautilus (when I really wanted a Corsair). The radio cuts out when going under trees (leaves are the issue, I guess) and the volume doesn't work on certain drives. Even though I got the code from Lincoln, the dealership says that it has to happen...
I actually enjoy the car-buying experience. I've ordered most of my vehicles since 2004 (Dodge Ram 2500 HEMI w/ 6-speed manual). If I don't order them, I do extensive internet research to "locate" them and then either have a local dealership arrange a trade or do the online purchase option...
I doubt that they can amend the order. What I believe is more likely to happen is they will still build that vehicle and ship it to the dealership. However, if in the meantime you've worked with the dealership to build another one the way you want, they'll void the original bill of sale and...

You are NOT crazy to wait. I have a '24 Ranger Lariat. I almost purchased a '24 Tacoma TRD Sport with moonroof and 6-speed manual. Every time I drive my Ranger, I am reminded that I don't have two options that I really wanted in a vehicle that stickered at $51,115. (I can live without the...
