2026 Moonroof Availability? How Soon Can We Order?

Thought about it over lunch and played with my options. Ultimately decided to stick with the Ranger order, minus the Power Moonroof. Super bummed about it but the addition of the power rear window helps make up for it a bit. I smoke cigars in the car so need some sort of ventilation!

Anyway, since they were in there and modifying the order, I asked them to add the Integrated Box Side Steps that I missed out on ordering originally. They obliged! So I lost a sunroof but got the side steps at least

I have them. Personally, I feel they should be standard with a delete option.

I thought they were standard, since every Ford ad and Youtube review showcased them. What made it even worst was that it's only a $215 addition - just make it standard at that point!

BINGO. When I looked at the itemization on my Monroney Sticker, I thought I was buying a GM vehicle: $130 splashguard flaps, $200 Floor liners all-weather+carpet mats, $215 Integrated box side step, and $95 Securicode keyless keypad. Nickel-and-diming on a $49000 vehicle.

Another video was posted online, Ford Ranger power moonroof still on hold indefinitely. Sounds like the current consensus is they found a QC issue and have yet to figure out how to fix it.

Maybe it's best not to have one!

I wish they would have had one for the MY24. Options through each MY is give and take. I'd rather have my 24 than a newer 26+ with everything they've taken away, JMHO. I use the moonroofs in all my other vehicles.

I couldn't agree more. Every time I get into my '24 Ranger Lariat, I am reminded that it doesn't have the moonroof. It's the only vehicle that I've had in 28 years without one.

Well, 3 days after getting the notice of the moonroof rescission and removing it from my order, I got my email with a scheduled build date! Week after 4th of July - hope the workers arent too hungover for the build ha!

My order with moonroof switched to BUILT over the weekend. Looks like whatever constraint that was holding up moonroof orders was completed.

So, they ARE building Rangers with the moonroof?

Mine had been stuck in IN PRODUCTION since April 22nd. Then last updated May 2nd, still stuck IN PRODUCTION. Then finally switched to BUILT over the weekend May 23rd. So yes, whatever was holding it up appears to have been resolved.

Nice. How accurate is the photo that appears with your order update to the vehicle that you ordered? I did the "Build & Price" and noticed that the 2026 is $2630 more than my '24 with the same options plus the $985 moonroof. Ouch.

Went to the dealership last week to see if they had any updates and got this updated preview sheet while I was there.
