  1. Break in oil change before 9 hour trip? Currently at 1500 miles

No. I used to spend a lot of time on BITOG. Learned it was quite a hobby for some people, but for passenger vehicles, that's about it. Until someone takes identical engines and has a scientifically controlled test, I don't believe you'll get xx miles more out of an engine with an early oil...
  2. 2024 Ranger external windshield film

You gotta weight the cost of it vs windshield replacement cost vs increased insurance premium to have $0 deductible on your windshield. It is basically an insurance product, but kinda expensive for your "coverage" and it wears out? (goes to $0 value)
  3. Gen 6 Ranger is not a priority for ARB

I was wanting an ARB Ascent over a Maxliner Venture, however, I won't wait for a non-color matched one. Might as well get the Maxliner sooner. ARB customer service email update I got today: "It appears that this just shipped from manufacturing. The ETA for this to arrive here in the US is...
  4. Like or Dislike Adaptive Cruise Control?

This topic always identifies the Boomers and/or Luddites. (Sometimes I associate with the latter)
  5. Lane Centering System

The Toyotas we've owned were annoying with the ping-pong effect for sure. The positive? Toyota put ACC in all trim levels. I just sold a Ford Maverick as I got this Ranger. My Maverick was an XL (ACC meant a $10k upgrade on a $23k truck), but I DIY-added ACC and with that came lane centering...
  6. Disable defaulting to RECIRC?

Disable humidity sensor via FORScan to fix this. Haven't done it yet, but I plan to.
  7. Lariat seems to have lost it's way

Glad my '25 Lariat doesn't have a sunroof. Just more weight and less headroom. The rear window does a great job venting with less noise.
  8. 2026 Ranger XL "Steelies" stock rim

If you're cheap like me, I'd look into take-offs. Bronco wheels will fit and people dump them for dirt cheap with new factory tires...
  9. Lariat seems to have lost it's way

I just bought a new 2025 Lariat 2.3 FX4 with advanced tow. After some research, I sought out a '25 for the MPC engine, better headlights, and was pleasantly surprised to learn of leather seats vs active-x (plastic seats make me clammy) and it has the 120v outlets without the convenience package...
