That comparison is a point in time - 2025s w/ employee discount + dealer discounts were a deal - at some dealership and for 1-2 months. 2026s were on lots. My 2025 sat for almost a year.
I got $9500 +/- off my Ranger 2.3L w/ a sticker around $52-53k
Those deals aren't out there anymore and...
Engines loosen up after 5-10k miles. Not just 2k - that is initial break-in, but more HP and more MPG happen after much more mileage.
To truly see the effects, though, you have to keep your truck stock - which seems unlikely for most people. (along with fuelly/spreadsheet tracking)
ah - I thought you were running Bronco tires also (I think some of them will fit stock Rangers - 255/75r17s likely)
thanks (thinking of upgrading whenever I wear out my stock tires)
Step 2 (3 in link below) that directed you to page 185... 2025s don't have the electronic shifter.
Skip down to "Switching Neutral Tow On - Vehicles with Mechanical Shift" section and try that...
Holy F&*# - $750 is nuts. Okay, I'm on your side and would be PO'd. I was thinking $450 if they had separated out labor from materials. $750 is top dollar and should not have been a rush job.
Damn that's a lot for a midsize bed liner.
Doesn't it have like a lifetime warranty?
If it gets bad, take it back.
I wouldn't have wasted time going back for that, or attempting to get free installation outta complaining.
Is it a truck or pavement princess?
If it makes people feel better, Tacomas are even more expensive, mpg still not great with a hybrid even, lower payload, fake leather, poor towing tech, and no memory seats at all.
Cross shopping, the Ranger was the better value (even assuming resale later on) for me at least.
I've read a variety of reviews (most Ranger ones are either on the RAS website or Facebook group page) and also plan on going with an RAS kit. Much more feedback on F150 trucks - nearly all is good at least.
Hopefully some 6g owners will chime in.
The sky is falling! AHHHHHH!!!
Within 6 months everyone's engines will be sludged up and failing.
Or not.
My money is on the later.
Be sure to like and subscribe, though - sure is hard to get clicks telling everyone that nothing is wrong.
