Thank you Sam. I don't think there is enough space in the BodyGuard bumper to mount it horizontally. On the factory bumper there are metal plates top and bottom so it's easier to mount it horizontally so the whole thing goes into the plastic but it can be done.
It's not that we're lazy, it's that we forget to push it. Then when you get to your first stop and the engine shuts off it just pisses you off as it's just one more cycle time on the starter and other components. Not thinking about it is nice also.
The 4D Tech works great but if you don't drive the truck a lot (3200 miles in 14 months) the battery will drain. The cable uses constant voltage to keep the auto start circuit alive so it will remember its last place. other than that it works flawlessly.
I know. I tried some others off that sheet and they didn't work. I think the cable from 4D Tech for $100 might be your best bet for now and it's a 1 minute install.
As far as I know they haven't written or discovered the code for that. But now that auto start/stop is being taken off US cars the dealer might be able to do it for a fee.
I think I just got the same recall letter for a pinched wire behind the sun visors. I'm going to start referring to my RR as a RRR (Ranger Recall Raptor).
I spoke to Winfield. The tow tune is an additional $175 over the initial $1300 already spent. I would love to squeeze as many ponies as I could out of this truck just for the fun of it. But having to change tunes back and forth isn't fun. I wonder if someone will eventually develope something...
