  1. Huh?

    Ok thanks. That makes sense.
  2. Huh?

A software fix for a pinched wire? What?
  3. Dealer Loyalty

The Ford network of service centers should never care where you bought your vehicle and I bet most if not all Mechanics feel the same. Work is work to them. But there are exceptions, and I can guarantee that most dealers provide preferential treatment to those who bought vehicles from them. You...
  4. Gastank capacity if filled to the VERY TOP on 2024 ford ranger xl 2.3l 4wd supercrew!

I know this is just anecdotal, and my experience only, so take it with a grain of salt. I fill mine as high as it goes before making a puddle on the ground that upsets the costco gas bar jockeys. They hate having to get to work with some absorball. But what else do they really do? I drive...
  5. Updated: For your entertainment…I bring you my stupidity. But it was fun!

when do the safety features such as airbags determine your fun factor level, or at least determine the end of your fun? Makes me wonder how close you were to the rollover ones saying "hello, we are here to help you"
  6. 2017 Focus lighting upgrade

I've rarely upgraded my lights on any vehicle for warranty reasons, and also because i wasn't a dick who likes to blind people. I currently have mismatched lights on the focus, the fogs were upgraded to sylvania whatevers, but the low and high beam haven't. So I have a nice bright white offset...
  7. Does anybody else hand-detail their RR suspension when they rotate tires?

uh yeah. i rarely even wash my truck, as i get it dirty before i get a chance to get it clean again.
  8. Marsh Gray or Shelter Green

saw a marsh gray the other day. that would be my preference.
  9. Heat blasted by itself?

i have the volume issue on occasion. can never determine it exclusively
  10. Hood solar panels

its a trade off... battery tender, forget to unplug it and drive away, suffer the consequences. stick on solar panel, potential paint issues later. I have a solar panel that i park in the 2017 focus, either in the dash, or in the sunroof (it fits nicely) and its never let me down on keeping...
  11. 2.7L "woosh" sound

common sense would be to start at the turbos. I think you can hold off checking the washer fluid tube till later.
  12. 2.7L "woosh" sound

those sudden sounds that pop up abnormally are usually a boost leak. look around all the tubes, hoses and what not for something broken or loose.
  13. Parking sensor issues

This might be more of a rant than anything, but it needs to be said. for most of this winter I have had parking sensor activations from the right front. Whether clean, dirty, or otherwise, they would activate when noting was around. Annoying for the most part, even more annoying is trying to...
  14. Max defrost weirdness

so, heres a weird one. sometimes when i turn up the volume on the stereo, my climate control goes into Max Defrost. I know the button is right beside the volume, so i thought i'd must have mistakenly hit it. Its so random theres no way a ford technician would ever experience it and come up with...
  15. SLOW Window

mine were slow last winter. they apparently regreased something inside for me. the warm weather came and worked fine. but once again, this winter, sloooow. I'm not going to do anything about it further. my only change is to check the window before going through a drive through....I'd feel like...
  16. Which transmission is in latest rangers? 10R80? 10R60?

My 2019 had the 10R80. I traded it in because the trans was getting worse the more miles it got. I think it was a matter of time before it grenaded. My 2024 trans is much better, but i still get a lagging shift between 4th and 5th after coming off the highway. Everything else about it is good.
  17. What FORD vehicles do you own ??

    2024 Ranger 2020 Escape 2017 Focus
  18. Ford, why is this??

There is an option. its called aftermarket. my guess is its a cost driven item when the bean counters get involved.
  19. moisture in headlights

i was reading up on it today and they say the LED lights dont heat up much and have less opportunity to dry up the vapor. Being in canada, i may have months to go before it warms up enough for the sunlight to do it for me as they suggest.
  20. moisture in headlights

    Here's from the other night
