Red-headed stepchild of the lineup, no doubt. The Ranger is such a hidden gem but Ford is afraid of what it would do to F150 sales if 70% of F150 buyers suddenly realized a Ranger fit their lives better.
If anyone is finding this threat in the future, know that the XL does not have reverse parking sensors and therefore does not suffer from the AEB problem discussed above.
These are Jeep filters, obviously, but I imagine this information is broadly useful to people deciding what oil filter to buy.
I was heartened to see my personal choice -- Fram Endurance -- comes highly recommended.
And praise the Lord, it's not a video...
I'm with ya, brother. As I've discussed in another thread, Jeep has been good to me. I owned a Dakota 5.2 back in the day and it was great, too. Really liked to get sideways in the rain!
My issue with this (and the F150 Raptor) is that they're just so damn big. I ride a lot of trails out here in the West, and most of the good ones just don't fit something this wide.
I run with one guy who drives full size rigs, but they tend to be much older 1990s trucks that weren't a lot...
Yeah, $200 for floor liners definitely hurt a bit. I like that they're made in America and I figured buy once, cry once. I'm hard on floor mats and these are very nice.
The 4D Tech ASS eliminator plugs in where the OP is indicating. My 2025 XL does not have that protective bracket, which would seem to make it nearly impossible to unplug the cable. If one of these other options uses a different connector, I might recommend that route to the OP.
Just "installed" my new WeatherTech HP Floor Liners. This is their updated material that is -- I believe -- intended to compete with TuxMat. These are very, very nice liners. They are much softer than the OG WeatherTech liners, with more "tack" to the rubber. Quite luxurious feeling IMO. I also...
These turbos also run hot, which increases the odds of oil shearing. People didn't used to talk about shearing a lot in the oil forums; now they do. One of the best ways to address the issue is to simply change more frequently. 5k seems to be the sweet spot with these hotter-running engines.
Haha, you’d think but no. Three of the five were modded pretty heavily (although no engine mods). All of them run off road extensively. I would never own a Jeep if I didn’t off road it. I don’t know what to say. I’m meticulous about maintenance and I mod with quality parts.
Amazing that people care about saving a few bucks on motor oil to put in a $40-50k vehicle. Mobil 1 and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum are often on sale for around $30/jug. Either will be more than good enough.
Some of the freakier members of BiTOG brag about going 20k between changes and all I can...
