Did some mild/moderate wheelin around Pike National Forest and checked out a reservoir. One section was about 19° steep so was able to try crawl mode with 4L and lockers on and it just went right up without missing a beat. This truck is just too fun
I run Pennzoil Ultra Plat. I've run the yellow jug for 30+ years, but even in Project Farm's Oil showdown it was barely beat out of the top spot by AMSOIL and for the cost differential I'm ok running Pennz w/ FoMoCo filters. It's a good GTL, Group III oil and even with my spelunking I don't...
To drive this point further, direct from Ford:
Four-wheel drive low provides electronically or mechanically locked four-wheel drive power to both the front and rear wheels for use on low traction surfaces, but does so with additional gearing for increased torque multiplication. This mode is...
Looks great, can't wait to do this myself. Figure come spring when I rip out my interior for audio upgrade and sound absorption material, since I'll have the back torn out anyway.
Fordās official guidance says rear wheels only, even on the Raptor. Not saying they are right or wrong, just wanted to point out what the manual actually says. I live in an area where chains are commonly used and sometimes required by DOT to keep going or you get turned around, so it was pretty...
That is not my truck or my video. I was only linking that video for GLW who could (potentially) not find it. My truck is still running the oem intake and will continue to coexist peacefully with rain, moths, and small woodland creatures.
Pulled the oem running boards off, rhino lined the bed, added an Armordillo CRB Chase Rack, added Ark Splash Guards and rear sensor guards, and just got the oval paint matched from Emblem City, which was inspired by this post. Once I powder-coat the exhaust tips it'll be bye bye chrome for...
It didnāt take much trimming- just two or three small snips to the plastic for the plug to fit. The issue is the plastic guide alignment; the pinout itself is identical. I already documented this above with photos, which is exactly why I included them and specifically called out that detail.
Iām a bit dense occasionally and spent all day putting a chase rack on the truck so forgive me, but Iām not entirely sure what youāre asking. Are you having issues with the actual adapter and it not fitting the MY24+ pin out ?
Let me know and Iāll be happy to try and help.
You happy with the form/fit/quality of the rack? Welds look good, any issues/concerns with paint chip/rust/etc? I'm about to pull the trigger on the CRB myself and would love any feedback you could give.
I'm researching chase racks seeing what others are running and what fits- and looking at Armordillo's site, yours looks like the CRM, not the CRB.

If Iām looking at what I think Iām looking at, thatās a little plastic clip piece and not actually a wire. Itās just attached to that housing. It slides one direction (towards the passenger side I believe) and then allows the rest of it to come down. I just jiggled it one way or another and it...
Sometimes you just gotta love the auto forums. I have the same color and was looking at these wheels, but wasnāt sure how they were going to look on- and then I find this. Slick rig, thanks for sharing.
Very nice. Iāll be watching this product, Iām definitely interested. Also in CO, if you ever need guinea pig trucks š¬
Huge props to having plans on opening up ID.me/govX/etc down the line. When itās another vet owned business I never do it, but major $corp I will. Good lookin out.
Iāve done front and rear before and for me personally itās overkill. Front facing will mitigate any loose interpretations of a collision to your insurance just fine. The additional context could be helpful but for the extra cost, time sink of pulling the trim down while navigating around the...
