I had previously changed the code on like day 4 of ownership.... And that is the only way I remember passengers being detected. No idea regarding how the detection is done because I noticed the same thing... Although I really haven't looked for where the wires connect from to go to the seat.
That is the same thing that is happening to me. My XLT (US) doesn't know there is a passenger unless they are "seen" through the buckle. If they unbuckle while moving, the icon shows red, dings for about a minute on and off, then stops dinging. The seatbelt screen will stay displayed.... But...
Anyone know if it is possible for the truck to automatically remember the last drive mode it was in before turning it off and restarting? Realize it is a first world problem, but I hate having to catch it by clicking on "ok" before it disappears.
Here ya go folks. These are 255/75-17 Defender LTXs on my OEM rims. I can confirm that at 80 mph I am off 1 mph on my speedo vs what GPS says I am actually going.
I fit 255/75-17 Michelin LTX's on my stock FX4 XLT with zero issues. This may not be the exact answer you're looking for, but I will say unless you put on wheels with a bigger offset then bigger tires will rub. There is only about 1/4-1/2" between the inside of the tire and the spindle.
I believe that was Your Favorite Libertarian. I don't get it though....as I believe the suspension lifts are still a 2:1 ratio. I would think that if that holds true the ratio wouldn't change between engines... Just the difference in the starting measurement.
What model do you have? As XLTs don't have Keyless entry I would assume it wouldnt detect your proximity (I have an XLT, but haven't messed with that in Forscan so I am not sure though).
I actually bought one the the seat lift kits off of amazon (had to get longer M10 bolts as the ones they provided seemed to soft). They have worked amazingly. Provided about a 1" lift in the front which helps support my thighs and relieves pressure on my ankle for the gas. Night and day.
I tried to get rid of the seatbelt message using the "as built" and changing all the values to zeros. However, when I write it some values change back to the previous values. Any thoughts?
