I would say swapping out a hood shouldn't take 4 and half + months :D. Also I wouldn't expect newer builds to have this issue as the fix was a change to manufacturing process.

Yep, Mine was built during that snow storm in early January on the 12 so i'm sure lots of salt is just sitting on it.
