Thanks so much to kayapayapigdog and MAV for their insightful dives and detailed instructions. Their combined inspiring completions gave me just enough confidence to give it an attempt. Didn’t lose any screws but I did have to rip out 2 of the liner screws….because they deserved it.

Initially I removed the headrests but I noticed it increased my field of vision to include what the side mirrors could cover. Then after 4 iced coffees the paranoia set in, “if I can see them, they can see me!”, so I put them back on as horse blinders.

I was averaging 14 until first early service then I was getting 16.9 with Procal tune, didn’t bother waiting more than 4k miles because when I received my ranger it had 60-80 hours on the dash with a few miles. These forums convinced me to do an early oil change.
