Looks good, is that just a black? I’m getting my silver piece color matched to the bumper as we speak and was trying to figure out what to do with that skid plate.
You can’t be serious? It’s a truck, of course they will and yes it’s an engineering error and a big one. I wanted to put a retractable bed cover on mine but Im worried to even do that. I think it’s pure shit that ford did this and then wants to charge us for it.
Do you have a pic of the truck with them up and of the full side view? I’m been thinking of getting these too but was wondering what it would look like.
Nice! Post a pic of that. Blue color matched would have been a bit much but white will probably look good. White and blue were my two colors when I was searching for a raptor.
I wasn’t a fan of the beadlock wheel but unfortunately that’s what my truck had on it when I found it. I just got the ring powder coated to match the wheel and IMO it made the wheel look so much better.
Am I the only one who thinks it's ridiculous we have to purchase and install these? Shame on Ford for this and I'm a Ford employee. I know we don't have to but to have only a 88 lb. limit is a joke.
I believe I used 320 grit, but it doesn’t have to be exact. You just need to scratch them up so the paint will adhere. I then blew them off and rubbed them down with alcohol. VHT says to wait 10 minutes in between each coat so that’s what I did and 30 minutes before applying the clearcoat after...
I didn't remove it. I removed the two bolts in hangers in the back and that dropped them down enough, I then wedged a piece of wood to hold them in place and hold them down to where I wanted them. I spent about an hour just masking everything off so I got no overspray. Then sprayed away.
