Not terribly difficult with a trim pry tool. Just be aware you're probably gonna break a couple clips and maybe bend the edges of the honeycomb panel removing it if you're not careful. Not a big deal if you're putting the new panel in though cause I doubt you'll ever need to put the old one back in
That is the trim peice for the XLT. The one for the Lariat is N1WZ-26046A34-LB it looks like. If you're willing to give that a try go for it! I wasn't willing to risk breaking the new part before I had even tried installing it
UPDATE:TOP BOX INSTALLED
So I installed the top box today. Fits perfectly into the XLT dashboard. I'll post the steps i took and some advice for anyone else wanting to do it. But first a couple things.
1. The gray trim is an exact color match for what's on the dash in our XLT.
2.The vent on...
Planning on swapping the leather trim out for the xlt trim on the truck. I looked and theres seperate part numbers on both
That's it, and same as what i paid through Tasca. Complete assembly as shown in the pictures I posted when it arrived
Some tape probably would work. I haven't noticed enough water getting in my ford trifold hard cover even in a car wash to worry about doing anything else but if you're going for water tight that would be a good thing to try
So It arrived today, I can confirm that part number is the entire assembly, so It looks like I'll just have to pop off the entire passenger dashboard face and pop this one on. Also it looks like the "leather" face would pop off and the honeycomb from the XLT could take its place on the glove box...
After digging through the parts catalog on Tasca Ford, I beleive ive found the part number for the top glove box assembly on a Lariat Ranger (N1WZ-2606202-LA). Looking at the diagram for the Ranger instrument panel, it appears every model shares the same shell and that there is a void behind the...
Had the same issue when I picked mine up from the dealer, they took a look at it and got it to work not sure what they had to do. Might be worth just swinging by your dealer and asking them to get it working for your key
Having seen a lot of those reviews too I think is why I was so pleasantly suprised. Did not expect much and an also planning on switching them out when they wear out. Which tires did you go with?
Had to drive through it (probably about 18 inches) to get up and down my 150 foot driveway and turn around when I got home that next morning before I could clear it, no problem at all
I just hit the wiper switch once and turn off the key when it's about halfway up, then just make sure you put them back to the windshield before starting the car again
In north east ohio this weekend we've been suffering from our first big lake effect snow blizzard with over 3 feet of snow most places and I have to say my FX4 XLT is a beast in the snow, driving around with zero worries about getting stuck or having difficulties with traction has made every...
