Just spoke to someone over the phone at GFC.
They said that as of right now they are only machining those spacers as they install campers on new rangers. So they do not have the “spare” parts to sell.
He said maybe in a couple months but to keep bugging them about it, i definitely let him know...
exactly.. I’m thinking they just haven’t done one yet so they are clueless.
unfortunately when i try to even order parts to a dealer my local dealer isn’t apart of that “network” so that isn’t an option to order it from the website to my dealer.
Only reason I’d prefer to go dealer route is...
Has anyone done their J brace install through dealer? What have you paid?
went in to talk to my local dealer and they said they hadn’t done one yet. And quoted 4 hours of labor. Also mentioned that they would need to take the bed OFF…
Any official documentation i can show them that that is not...
Which is absolutely crazy..
Even now with all the parts on back order, let’s say i order a topper from ford. Are they going to tell me, “sorry we can’t install until the load box reinforcement kit is in”??
on the positive side, Levittown ford told me that they should have parts coming in next...
Anyone have an update on these spacers?
i am trying to install an Xtrusion overland rack and was thinking that spacers would definitely be needed as the brackets are nearly directly over the stake hole area.
Hey everyone,
kinda of a silly question, but I’m looking at getting a retrax xr cover. I saw a used one for 5th gen rangers on my local FB marketplace for around $900.
Will this fit on the 6G?
Any call outs when buying used covers?
Thanks!
thanks for the link! After looking at it, they’re charging $49 for shipping…
Seems kind of high for a part like this. Shipping from ford is only $10.
Agreed, i think it’s just their way to avoid any liability in the case of a crash, like Tesla, but at least Tesla all you have to do is squeeze the steering wheel. Took me a while to figure out that it was a Wiggle not a squeeze lol
However, i am pleasantly surprised how well it guides it self...
I recently found out that all you have to do is slightly wiggle the wheel. As if you need to make an adjustment. Then that gets rid the notification.
hope that helps!
