My RR order got scheduled for September 1 build date on Thursday also. It was ordered last November and finally scheduled in July. I bought an in stock Raptor from another dealership when my dealer said they weren't sure if I would even get mine scheduled this model year.
Also my dealer has not...
The large screen is not an issue. I put mine in dark mode so I didn't have the bright screen in my field of vision.
I test drove all 3 engines, the 2.7 was the smoothest with plenty of power. I would recommend it over the 4 cylinder.
Try smaller dealerships in more rural areas. I found mine 1100 miles away in a town of 3500 people. Got a discount with no add on. Great dealer and shipping was reasonable. Good hunting and don't pay MSRP. Reward the honest dealerships out there.
Did not drive off road but drove on many dirt country roads and do travel through many dusty construction areas on a routine basis. I find a fair amount of sand and grit in filter box and in filter.
I would you would need to clean the filter more often if driven in dusty conditions off road...
I've used a K&N air filter for 230K miles on my daily driver. No issues, no blow by, car runs almost like new. Last vehicle had 330K miles with a K&N when I got rid of it. I buy all my cars new so I know the complete maintenance history. Cars started new with K&N.
I'll go by my own experience...
It would be nice for Ford to offer a decal delete option. I ended up with the billboard graphic package that was on unit in stock. After while the circus wagon vibe does diminish a bit. Also the people coming up asking that an F150 Raptor doesn't get old.
Sadly you would have thought wrong.
I get emails all the time, surveys and Ford propaganda.
My truck came with updates set to auto but the app said it was not set. Go figure.
My understanding is the tune is registered against your VIN. It is required to download the tune and is locked to your VIN. If your dealer has a way of circumventing the process you are lucky. Your warranty will not be impacted.
Leer makes a solid product, well engineered. I had a fiberglass tonneau on my old Ranger, never leaked in the seven years I had it. Also Leer stands behind their products. My hinge separated from the fiberglass, Leer fully warrantied it. Did a replacement no charge. This was after several years...
Mine would lock everytime I touched the brakes as I inched up to the back wall of my garage. Had to hit the gas to get it to move. Really hurky jerky. Other suggestion that you are in 4H would be my next suggestion also.
Check see that Autohold is not enabled. It allows you to take your foot off the brake pedal at stop lights. Great while driving, sucks trying to park in a garage. I had the same issue as you and corrected it by turning of feature.
I agree completely. Opens higher so being short I have to start to close from the side. It does open pretty quickly. Works very well.
Very little flex, just a bit unnerving the first time you close the hood.
Very well made product, very simple to install.
Honestly I was surprised. My Escape is like a fish bowl. Sun is brutal even with tint, same for our 4Runner but the Ranger is pleasant to drive in full sun. I think it has to do with the angle of the windshield and side windows.
