You can permanently delete it in the driver assist settings if you want.
  2. 1st Unusual Experience with my 2024 Ranger

Automatic brake assist while backing can be a bit frustrating and surprising, lol. Although it means well, I turned mine off.
  3. Induction Service!

Agreed. I was referring to in general a fuel induction service may only be for the fuel system and with GDI will not help with intake valve carbonization. An air/fuel system service may help as you have indicated. My caution was to ensure of what procedure will be carried out regardless of...
  4. Induction Service!

I suppose the thing to be aware of is the term induction service. Anything that deals with the fuel system is not truly an induction service. A lot of induction services are chemical only are ok for the throttle body and manifolds, it is not really effective at removing the carbon deposits off...
  5. When do we change our transmission oil ,flush, and filter, 2.3 ecoboost 2019-2024

Ya, the 10R80 and 10r60 are almost identical. So a 10R80 pan should fit a 24 Ranger 10R60. However, I haven't bought one yet so please question your seller and do some research just to be sure. Internally they use that same overhaul procedure and the pans were the same. However that doesn't...
  6. When do we change our transmission oil ,flush, and filter, 2.3 ecoboost 2019-2024

Service intervals are written by Ford corporate withe main idea isn't longevity, they just need to get it out of the warranty period. Their goal is to show the EPA and government climate watchdogs how little waste there is and low cost of maintenance. Even dealerships will knowingly deviate...
  7. When do we change our transmission oil ,flush, and filter, 2.3 ecoboost 2019-2024

That is the best way to ensure smooth operation for years to come. Changing the filter every 50k maybe overkill but every 100k is sufficient. A lot depends obviously on how you use it but those frequencies are good for the average owner. Personally, eventually I would but a tranny pan with a...
  8. When do we change our transmission oil ,flush, and filter, 2.3 ecoboost 2019-2024

As a retired Ford tech and with a similar desire to keep transmissions going for a long time, 50k should not be exceed in a modern transmission. Being solenoid shift with mini filter screens and very close tolerances in the valve body you don't want to wait too long. The first change at 30k...
  9. Service Shop Manual

No but I plan to. I will check my Mitchell.
  10. TPMS - Tire Pressure Monitor for aftermarket wheels

I like to use Autel MX programmable sensors. They can be used to copy the sensor ID's of the factory sensors so you can swap them and they don't have to be learned to the truck.
  11. Dealer agreed to changing my cam phasers, but I'm hesitant

The part number will reflect any change in the design. They might be able to look up the replacement part number and see if there is an effectivity date for it. Shortening your oil change interval may help preserve your new phasers. What motor do you have?
  12. All systems fail

I had a service advancetrac pop up once. Truck drove fine. When I got home, I scanned the vehicle and it showed several communication codes that all occurred at exactly the same time. I cleared the codes and it has never returned. Strange. Keep us posted as to what they find out.
  13. Multiple Dash lights and the fix

Great info, thanks. Mine hasn't come back yet but it will be good to know if a wheel speed sensor is the culprit with yours. I scanned my sensors and they were working at that time. So far, my Cruise and other functions work ok.
  14. Multiple Dash lights and the fix

Thanks for posting. I had a random service advancetrac once and it went away. It was shortly after the window module recall was carried out. I scanned it and had multiple communication codes. I cleared it to see if it was a glitch or not. Truck drove fine and exhibited no issues. When you...
  15. Keep Drop-in Bedliner or Switch to Spray-in Bedliner

You already have a bed liner and a line-X can be sprayed in after. I like the line-X but in this case, to be economical, you could keep that liner until it doesn't serve its purpose, cracks or whatever then go for the spray in. Just a thought.
  16. Keep Drop-in Bedliner or Switch to Spray-in Bedliner

I was on the fence too. One of the new changes to the Ranger was the ability to lay a 4 foot wide sheet flat in between the wheel wells. With a drop in, you are not able to do so. For me, that was a feature I wanted to maintain and ended up opting for a Line-X spray in. No regrets, I think...
  17. Installed Ford Branded BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover on XLT FX4 Ranger

Looks sharp. Did you get that from the factory or ordered from Ford after delivery?
