No, I know some people have machined aluminum pucks to fill the negative/void below where the stake pocket cap is when adding a rack. Probably doesn't even need to be aluminum, could just be 3D-printed.
It can go higher, but not lower. That said, I've seen people ordering full size kits and cutting the aluminum rails on a miter saw with a good new metal blade, so why couldn't you do similar with the uprights, drill new holes, etc? Pretty simple.
And I'm convinced Truxedo/RealTruck are still...
I did a thing. They said it couldn't be done, but I did a thing.
Finally ordered and received the Elevate CS Rack for my Ranger. I've had my BakFlip Revolver X4TS with t-slot for nearly a year, and finally had the funds and made the decision to purchase the Elevate rack. I think I must...
I had mine done last week at Klaben in Kent, OH. I dropped mine off at about 5:40pm Tuesday for a 7:40am Wednesday appointment. I figured the longer they had the truck, the higher my chances for a smooth appointment. Unfortunately, I received a call at about 4:45 Wednesday that they weren't...
For what it's worth, I brought home a veritable collection of insects from the trip. I could switch careers and become an entomologist. But the windshield stayed relatively clear by comparison. Of course, it did nothing to protect the nice stone chip I received from a work truck that was just...
Yes. If you keyfob start your 2025... stand next to it for a bit. You'll hear a 'bird chirp' noise. I believe this is the electronic parking brake engaging. When you get in, you'll notice that the brake indicator is illuminated. You can simply push the gas pedal and after a moment of...
I just wonder if anyone has devised a way to use the mini 'storage area' to the left of the steering wheel. Seems like it would have been a good place to keep loose change, if only it had a lip on it... Thinking someone needs to manufacture a rubber liner with lip or 3D print a tray insert.
Do you know, is this only a matter of lack of support in the composite plastic where the stake pocket holes are (could a spacer block account for this?) or is this something else in the bedrails themselves?
Sorry, trying to understand, and thank you for humoring me.
We need more information about post 9/24 Rangers. My 2025 was manufactured in Feb 2025. I am wanting to buy an Elevate Rack for mounting my Yakima bike carriers in conjunction with my X4TS tonneau. Your site says the rack is not available for the 2025. I am tempted to order for a 2023....
First, let me say I agree with you. But I've also often wondered if "it's ok" to be brand dis-loyal. In other words, being a *consumer*. While I have some measure of loyalty to Ford, I'm also an equal opportunity buyer. Until purchasing my Ranger a couple days ago and getting rid of my Q7, I...
Brought mine home for the first time today. Not before a stop out for a bite to eat. All that waiting for the adults to sign papers made my son hungry...
This was true for anything made before September of 2024. Ford fixed the issue with reinforcement, and sells an accessory part to retroactively fix those older ones.
I am looking at this same setup, BAK Revolver X4TS with Elevate Rack.
Understandable. It's wishful thinking on their part. They have a 2024 and want to believe that somehow their year is superior (in my belief it's not). In addition to everything I have cited, the majority of 24s only support 85lbs at the bedrail without an add-on support part.
Just to close the loop on this, as rangerjimm said, the 2024 and 2025 2.3L are two completely different engines. Different stroke. Different bore. Same displacement. Different compression. Change from belt driven oil pump to gear driven. Alternator location changes. Brake pump is electronic...
I drove a 2024 2.7L and a 2025 2.3L minutes apart, knowing nothing about this engine-gate situation. I said out loud that I was surprised how little difference I noticed. The only appreciable thing I noticed was that the 2.3 had a moment of lag at the bottom of a steep hill that the 2.7 didn't...
