I’m having the same problem, it probably works about 2% of the time. I had it in my 2017 F150 and it worked 99.9% of the time so I don’t think it is any problem with my door opener or it’s location. Maybe the Ford representative monitoring this site and give us some help.

I have the same problem have to be with in 7 or so feet for it to work.

Mine was also hard to latch, someone on this forum had mentioned to raise the center head rest up about an inch or so. The way the polls are bent it prevents the seat back from latching when the head rest is all the way down. That solved the problem for me.

I don’t know if this has anything to do with it I have auto lock turned on.

I think door lock lights are on for five minutes when you lock the doors and the truck is off, then go off. They are on when the truck is running and the doors are locked.
