The Adarac bed racks use aluminum spacers that sit on the stake pockets, then the t-slot rails mount to the stake pockets. I haven't loaded up the rack much yet, so I can't comment on strength.
It's about 6 inches from the top of the cross member to the top of the highest point of the cab above the rear window. I was thinking of chopping off a few inches at the bottom of the uprights and drilling new mounting holes in the bottom of the uprights.
Mine does the same. Going on 9k miles and has done the "feels like you're taking your foot off the gas" in 3rd since new. Mine also downshifts hard into 3rd when coming to a stop.
Thanks! Everything went together very easily and the total price was less than a comparable tonneau with t-slots built in. Both of these items were found on RealTruck, BTW.
I was searching for a value option for a tonneau and bed rack combo and I came across one that I'm happy with. I wanted to be able to at least open the first third of the tonneau while the bed rack cross members were in place.
The tonneau cover sits inside the bed caps and the bed rack...
I added an Adarac M-Series Bed rack to my 2024 Ranger today. They sell just the rails as well as a few different heights for the uprights. I also have a Gator EFX Hard Tri Fold Tonneau that fits between the bed rack rails. Worth a look.
Depends wether or not your tonneau covers the bed stake pockets, but you could look into the adarac options. They mount to the stake pockets and come in a few height and cross bar configurations.
The cargo net that I won from @Muslogy showed up today. This thing fits great. I have another net that I bought off Amazon when I purchased my truck, but never use it because of the gap on the bottom that lets everything slide under.
This net fits the bed so much better, it's strong enough to...
Got these 17 gallon totes from Lowes. Not sure if there are the same dimensions as the HDX ones shown earlier in this thread, but 4 fit perfectly behind a fence board I have slotted into the lower tie down points.
