At the risk of sounding like a killjoy, I live in Southern California during the winter months. I like living in a place where the snow doesn't come to me -- if I want it, must go to where the snow is.. LOL
(I lived 6 years in Wisconsin, where, the first year, we were covered in snow from before...
Yikes. I agree that the sales rep needs to be looped into this conversation. Although every time I buy a new vehicle of any make, the sales rep is "no longer working here" the next time I call. It would seem that new car sales reps have a shelf life similar to that of fresh fish. As soon as you...
I also replaced my Ford filter with a K&N so I can have better airflow and not need to buy single-use filters. The difficulty of accessing the filter box did not surprise me, as I had a 2019 Ram 2500 diesel that used a similar system - bigger and even more difficult to take apart... 😕
I tried silicone spray but the gap between the two pieces of plastic on the cowl of the mirror is so small that the spray just spashed out all over the door. LOL
How should I resolve an annoying squeak made by my driver side mirror as I retract it? I see no gap in the plastic into which I could spray silicone. (Passenger side mirror is silent, no squeak…)
Thanks.
I flat tow my 2025 RR behind my Jayco Class C motorhome. Admittedly, the instructions to engage recreational tow are lengthy. (I have to sit with the instructions and read them each time I set the truck up for flat tow.) I don't tow more than 200 miles in one day, because I don't want to be...
I vote for the critters. I've not had problems in recent years but back in the '90s I was spending a lot of time time in rural Oklahoma. I was driving a big '78 Bronco. Over a cold weekend packrats got under the hood and made a helluva mess, including chewing through wires and leaving twigs...
I paid $68k for mine - it was the only one on the lot at Galpin Ford in LA/San Fernando Valley, one of the biggest volume dealers in the USA. The sticker was $58k. The dealer was non-negotiable about $10k in profit builders - paint protection, tire warranty, GAP, yadda yadda. The dealer also...
In an RV park at Coachella last week, I had an interesting conversation with a Canadian who is wintering in the USA and has a 2025 Ranger Raptor. He didn't see me come in, and came over later to ask how I tow my RR. (He has a Class A motorhome with a tow dolly.) When I told him I flat tow my RR...
I made a similar post just now - didn't see this thread till after I posted. (Sigh.)
I, too, noticed the multiple holes in the plastic. I imagined Larry, Curly, or Moe on the assembly line... "Try this, Moe!" -It also seemed to me that the plate would be more secure with nuts and bolts to...
I was washing the truck and noticed two small scrapes in the paint on the lower edge of the tailgate. A bit of inspection revealed that when the tailgate is lowered, the bottom edge hits against the screws holding the license plate to the [plastic] fascia underneath the plate. (?!)
I got some of...
I just hit 11,000 miles on my RR bought over the summer. (Yeah, lots of driving back and forth between SoCal and NoAZ.) Lacking the time to do the first oil change myself, I took the RR to an oil change place -- where the truck was immediately swarmed by 5 guys from the shop, oohing and aaahing...
Another flat tow question from a newbie to this forum:
I bought my '25 Ranger Raptor because I was told only that trim/engine combination could flat tow. I had a few challenges at first, but I'm flat towing now and it's working out great.
But today I was at an RV park in Arizona and saw this...
Tell me about it, LOL! My mom died this past spring and when my sister and I sold her house, we found that the HOA was in line for an $800 payment. Supposedly the HOA takes a cut of every property sale in that development. My sister tried to fight it... without success. I said, "Sis, I told you...
I had my airbag recall work done at Galpin Ford in the San Fernando Valley about ten days ago. It took 2 hours, exactly what was promised. No problems at all. They even paid for my lunch while I waited. Galpin is 60 mikes from where I live, so going back for routine work is not feasible. But I...
Where I live there are water restrictions so washing at home is a problem. But I got a nice power washer from Harbor Freight for $80 and it works great. Once a month wash, takes about 30 minutes, and all’s well. (The HOA is okay with the power washer because it doesn’t run water constantly.)
