That is interesting for sure. I did measure mine before the skid plates and after and then again after adding the rock sliders. It is interesting that I got a consistent 1/2” difference from side to side as well. Before everything my lowest measurement was 37 1/2” and now I am setting at 36...
I was surprised that the truck has sagged in the front as much as it has. For all the reasons mentioned above regarding the location of the added weight. The ride feel has changed a little as well. Not terrible but noticeable from stock. It wallows a bit more. Not as firm in the turns. Sounds...
I was getting a lot of rock chips on the hood so I purchased one. I got the one without a bump because I didn’t like the look of the bump. It worked. I had 7 or 8 rock chips before and none since I installed it.
I am looking for advice on lift options for a Ranger Raptor when the front end is already sagging 1 inch due to added weight from steel skid plates and rock sliders. I added 3/16 steel skid plates and frame mounted rock sliders from RCI that added about 200 lbs over stock weight to the truck...
I just installed the new RCI frame mounted rock sliders and I would offer some other thoughts on the subject based on my experience. Pros and cons. First, the RR version doesn’t fully wrap the box frame on the driver side due to the gas tank being so close to the frame. So the driver side rear...
I went with the RCI 3/16 steel for more durability. They are heavy though. I weighed them and they are 84 lbs heavier over the stock Ranger Raptor skids. It also includes the front bash plate replacement.
Yes you can turn off lane assist completely from the menu settings on the main screen. You can turn off a lot of things from there, except stop start. Wish you could.
Yep I have a 2024 and had so many hood chips that I ordered and installed the Ford Performance hood protector. I thought the problem was mainly due to the hood design. Since I put that black plastic hood protector on I haven’t had any issues on the hood. Still have a few near the rear fenders...
Probably not getting here until after Christmas but I have RCI rock sliders coming. I have been holding out for a while, waiting for the right sliders to come available. The Ranger Raptor version is finally available.
Actually the Raptor version is available. That’s the one I ordered. It’s sometimes hard to find on the website depending on how you search for it, but it is there.
Speaking of rock sliders, I just picked up the RCI frame mounted rock sliders, ordered them yesterday. They have a free shipping and 10% off sale tight now! Saved me close to $500. Paid $1394, which includes the top plates. I will pst when I get them but they look like a great deal.
For those interested in going with this steel skid plate setup, I think I lost 1/2” of lift due to the weight of these skids. I also plan to add rock sliders in the future so I am guessing adding heavier springs in the front is in my future as well.
