  1. Yet Another Recall For Trailer Module

I just did the Compliance Recall Notice 26C0 / NTSA Recall 26V104. I had to go to a dealer to reprogram the TRM. I was only there 1 1/2 hours, and they did a multi-point inspection that was helpful as I change my own oil and do not take it to the dealer that often.
  2. In bed 120v outlet - what's it rated for?

I used my bed outlet once to power a 30 watt soldering iron to fix a broken wire in our Christmas lights on our gate - too far for an extension cord.
  3. Bought a teardrop trailer

Being in Arizona I didn't look for cold weather issues, but I see some have a low temp cutoff, and some have a heating mode to protect during charging.
  4. Bought a teardrop trailer

Nice setup, looks like it will handle back-county areas with ease. I tow a 17-ft Casita with the 2.3 XLT 4x4 2024. Just replaced my AGM with a LiFePO4; over twice the useable power and half the weight. Good match with your solar panels when you boondock.
  5. Has anyone replaced their XLT driver's seat?

I am not a fan of my 2024 XLT seats, either. Interesting, I thought they designed the seats for big people, as both of my arms do not find a comfortably resting position. I am 5' 8", 170 lb. We have taken several long trips (3k+ miles) and have 20k total. As for being able to test drive, when...
  6. I've owned my 2025 XLT for 2 weeks and I already hate the 12" vertical screen and lack of knobs

Have you tried Calm Screen? Go to the second icon (settings) on top of the display (looks like a truck), select it, and in the middle of that screen below a picture of your truck, their is a button "Calm Screen." Select it and it removes most of the display.
  7. Can't have nice things! - Minneapolis MN

Yonder-MN That was a great rendering of the Falls, brings back memories, fantastic park system. Sorry about the damage to your new Ranger. But at least you have water, here in S AZ where real rats (pack rats) did a $500 wire fix to my Ranger, we would like to see that much water. Hope you...
  8. Cheap spare tire/rim combination

I was fooled; I thought when Ford stated "Full size spare tire/wheel" it was going to be like the others. There were few actual models to look at June 2024, so I depended a lot on the online descriptions for my order. I did not see an explanation that the tire and even rim would be a different...
  9. Windshield repair - ALREADY!

Small stone on highway thrown by passing truck made a 2 ft crack in driver's side windshield at 4000 miles. Safelite OEM replacement was $1111 (full glass coverage) and Progressive upped our rates in a month.
  10. You Know That Slot In The Front of The Center Console? It's for French Fries 😉

Never would have thought of fries; it does hold our two cell phones nicely upright and ready to use (only showing one).
  11. Insurance costs

Good News (I Hope) When I bought my Ranger last September, the sticker showed it had not been rated by the government 5-star safety program which is one of the factors in determining your insurance costs. The Ranger has now been rated (August 7, 2024) Vehicle Detail Search - 2024 FORD RANGER...
  12. Sync 4A Missing

Hi All, I asked my Sales Rep (Louis, nice guy) about this and here is what he states and he provided this doc from Ford. "Frank this is what I had found regarding sync 4A your Ranger does have it. It is a standard feature on all Ranger trim levels." Now, I will have to see if I can create...
  13. Sync 4A Missing

Here is my Sync 4 screen; I left off the bottom part with id numbers, not sure if I should 'publish' those on the web. Another picture of overall vertical screen.
  14. Sync 4A Missing

Did anyone else think they were getting Sync 4A but only have Sync 4? My build listed Sync 4A when I ordered my XLT in June, was on the sticker with Vin number emailed to me in July, and is on the paper sticker when I picked up my Ranger in September. But when I went online for help in using...
