A stock 2.3 automatic bronco has a 3.73 rear end with a .636 tenth gear. The Ranger Raptor has the same running gear. Even tho the Bronco is a barn door, itd be foolish to expect the Raptor to do better.

Definitely buy now. Look at the price hike the Bronco Raptor's had in the past year and a half. It started at $68,500, now it's $86,000. Unless Ford randomly decides to introduce a moonroof and BlueCruise, I don't see there being many add-ons worth validating the inevitable price hike.

I feel you could validate doing that with a Raptor if you're already in line for one since if you don't like it, there's a high change a dealer may buy it off you. A standard XLT? That's a different question considering the competition.

I'd bet if you threw some air assist on the rear axle, you'd be able to handle the 7500 like the standard trims.
