I took a peek today and saw the plug connector, I have all 6 wires on the feed side and nothing on the other side (I do not have the 120 volt option). So it would appear that all I need to do is pin that empty connector at the purple/brn & black/gray wires for my 12V outlet? Any idea what size...
John, in my Superduty I built a steel shelf along one side for my ice chest and food tote and I built another shelf across the back supported on the bed rails that held 3 more totes. Planning on a similar setup for the Ranger. This leaves the floor space pretty open. I kept the side shelf when I...
I've had an Alps Mountaineering self inflating mattress for about 12 years now and it's been great, more comfortable than our mattress at home. It's only about 2" thick. If it's been rolled up for a long time you need to assist it a bit to air up but not much, pump not needed.
BTW in my...
My topper installer told me they are going to get brake light power and power for the LED dome light from the trailer 7 way circuit. If this is correct maybe I'd better have a talk with them.
I just ordered the Airplex for my 2025 XLT. Matte Black. There is now an $24 tariff charge bringing the total to $205.32 to the US. Like @Lion77 I didn't like any of the other offerings available here so buy once cry once it is. It's going to take a couple weeks and I have one highway trip...
Does the body building manual show anywhere to connect for a 12 volt outlet in the bed? I know I can tap the trailer tow wire but I've heard rumors there might be a plug somewhere on the harness to plug in the 12 volt socket harness. I'd like to have at least a #12 AWG to support a 5 amp fridge...
That's is a good price. A new truck out the door under $35K, wow. Did you have a gun? :)
Which engine are you getting? I paid a lot more but I wanted an XLT with 301A and a 2.7 among other things so I ended up ordering it. Not much negotiation when you custom order.
Hang onto your wallet when...
I ordered my A.R.E today, MX series with mid rise, 2 Windoors, tilting and sliding rear window, Yakima roof rails and Bedrug liner. Should take about 8 weeks for delivery. Below are some computer generated images. BTW RealTruck owns A.R.E. now.
Yes I ran out to the truck and checked, I do have the LIM button. See my edit to my original post.
So it's not like a cruise control right? You can be driving along pushing the gas with the CC off and it will still slow you down? Will it also speed you back up when the limit goes back up?
Or...
Wow I'm reading through these and learning. I disabled my auto hold thinking "why would I want that?" but maybe I'll give it a try.
Also I'm not sure if my Sept 2025 built XLT with 301A and technology package has the cornering lights? I'll have to check after dark.
@stemplar I didn't realize...
I used the one off Amazon that was recommended in another thread. I messed up the alignment twice but got it on the third try, didn't seem to affect the adhesion being lifted and re-applied. No fingerprints and no air pockets, so far so good.
I see relatively inexpensive ones on Amazon all the way up to $109 from Ford and $120 from Covercraft. With the big plastic center piece by the mirror that drops down quite a bit I'd want one that custom fits. I'm not sure if the Ford ones are always custom fit or just a 3rd party vendor that...
I've been in vehicles where the headrest forced me into uncomfortable positions but I haven't had that issue with the Ranger although I've only driven it 50 miles since delivery. I'll have to pay attention and see if I need to add this to my growing list of mods I can't live without.:)
Battery SOC was at 87% when I parked it yesterday, plugged it in and this morning was at 100%. The current dropped to -14 with the door open and the key on, started the engine and it jumped to +40 then started to drop, rapidly at first and after about 3 minutes was at zero.
Since oil...
Just connect the pos to the pos battery terminal and the neg to a body ground. If you look at your negative terminal, there is a cable going from it to the fender, you can attach to either side of that cable, or just to a bolt in the steel frame in front of the battery. There is a nice clean...
