Roger that. I have had a number of issues with this truck not working properly. I just wanted to see if this was another.
The Ford rep said it shouldn't do that as the Ranger has electronic power steering.
I know this topic was in another thread, but I cannot find it.
Perhaps some of my Canadian brethren can speak to this subject. Does anyone else experience a stiff steering wheel when it drops below -15c? No error codes are displayed but holy crap is this annoying.
Yes. Michelin X Ice. No clearance issues. No mpg change. They ride smoother than the factory Wrangler at/s. Some AT tires do have issue as each tire size is different in dimensions.
I'm sorry to hear about all that nonsense. That doesn't sound like the same issue that I have. My steering is buttery smooth and straight in -14c and warmer.
I have another mystery power train issue that I'm pretty sure is the transfer case, but that's a whole different can of worms.
I just got a reply. They said there might be something coming in the Spring of 2025 but unsure. They also went on to say that most of their focus has been on the new Tacoma. I told them that is super disappointing.
I have been patiently waiting for what seems like forever, since Ford announced their partnership with ARB. Does anyone have any leads on when we might see some new bumpers? Australia has had these for a while now, I dont imagine the one we are getting will be terribly different?
Agreed. This vehicle is great in snow. I threw on a set of Michelin X Ice in 265/70/17 anyways, and they are fantastic. I am convinced they ride smoother and quieter than the Wranglers that came from the factory.
Sorry to hear that. I have had transfer case problems since 2000km, now at 10,000 and it hasn't been resolved yet.
Side note/question... Has anyone else experienced very stiff steering and the wheel not correcting post turn, during extreme cold Temps? At -30c the steering wheel is work to steer.
Another repair update.
The dealership replaced the propeller shaft twice and they both lasted around 2000km before the noise returned(same as the factory shaft). Ford Engineering is now supposedly involved and they are looking at the transfer case as a potential cause. The truck has been in...
If anyone has experience trading in a lemon vehicle with Ford in Canada, I would appreciate any information you can give.
My 24 xlt needed a new propeller shaft at 1800km. The replacement died 2200km later. I figured the third time would be a charm, but it only lasted 1700km... The dealership...
This is sort of an update/continuation for the thread "Whistling Noise".
After 1800km my truck began making a whirring/chirping noise between 35km/h and lower, after about 25 minutes of driving on the highway. This noise isn't terribly loud inside the cab, especially with the windows up. The...
Did they give you a good deal at least? I am going onto my third prop shaft in 6000km. That combined with paint defects and a new brief grinding noise on cold start up has me considering the same thing. I'm considering giving Chevy a try for the first time in my life.
