There seems to be a lot of bad stories here since deliveries (My May 11 build XLT is on a hold for an undisclosed reason), and it would be nice to know if folks have had positive delivery/first 1000 miles experiences. No transmission/ill-fitting dashes/mis-aligned doors/rusted axles, etc. Ford...
Man, these are bad. If and when I receive my XLT (still on a hold), I'll make sure to do a complete walk around and in before I accept delivery. Thanks for all these posts.
I’ve found that Ford phone/chat only sees what the tracker shows, with a few exceptions. They did see it go to the body shop and back and an eta. But nothing else than still in production. Dealer sees a hold, but doesn’t know what that is. Be interested in seeing what your dealer comes back with.
Anyone else have a May 6 week build on hold? My XLT 4x4 Sport has returned from the upfitter (Spray in) and then stuck. Build was May 11. Dealer sees it built, but a hold. Doesn’t appear the June 8 eta will be a thing, yet Ford still has that date.
Same spec on my XLT (4x4/Tow/Tech/LRD; no FX4). I did get the Spray-in and I know it's been returned from the upfitter. Curious when was your build date and when it arrived at your dealer? Much appreciated, and thanks for the tips!
I’ve had one on my 2020 STX for over three years; it looks great and serves its purpose. No issues with it, including the car wash. Plan on installing on my 24 XLT when (if) it ever actually arrives.
Same here, but blend date 5/9; been on production since 5-11; got the unexpected delays email and then nothing. Have you downloaded Ford Pass and added the vehicle to see if it’s available to connect? My 2020 STX is already connected, and I added the new XLT a couple weeks ago and it was blank...
That’s great! My build week was May 6; in production May 11; and last updated on the 13th. Still stuck on in production, but I’m satisfied with what they told me on the phone. Hope you get your newbie soon.
Called Ford today (not the chat) and had a great representative who put me on hold to go check. Built and ETA June 2-8. So, it appears the comments that these messages are sort of programmed appears to be correct.
Ordered on Feb 8, blend date was May 9, in production May 11, updated on May 13, modules and tear tag on Tuesday; then the dreaded email came yesterday with the "unexpected delays," so who knows.
Also got my May 6 production week email this morning, and ordered on February 8. Advance towing package, sport package, rear differential, spray-in liner and tray mats. Azure gray tie-coat.
