No. More like a clicking whirling noise. It's definitely AC related. It seems to get louder and then quieter as load on compressor changes. It goes away when you turn AC off with fan still running. Instantly comes back when you turn AC back on.
I plan on just going with a 2 in lift. I may go to 33 in tires. TIS produces a wheel I really like. I have time to see if any of the aftermarket comes up with a strut and spring kit. Not going to put on a new wheel and tire combo with winter coming on. Going to concentrate on a bedliner and bed...
I can see where a longer spring and strut would help with the bump stop issue. But the CV joints and rack will still be at the same angle as with a spacer kit. The only solution to this would be longer control arms. I personally ran 2 in spacer kits on my last 3 trucks with no problems. But I...
So is there an actual non spacer level kit for a 2024 Ranger that the American market can order? I researched Dobinson's and only came up with 10-23 Rangers.
I have the same sound on my 24 Lariat. I noticed it the first week I had the truck. I've had it back to the dealership. they had it four days and claim they can't replicate the sound. I picked back up on Friday afternoon and started to work. I stopped at a traffic light and the noise was still...
Just a follow up. Evidently Ford has escalated the issue with the help of the social media rep on here. Only problem is I can never reach the agent assigned to me to see what I need to do next. I try to call the dealership but calls are never returned. I have a new issue with a low frequency...
I really feel the issue with the brake pedal clearance issue. I'm traditionally a left foot braker from years of heavy equipment. I leave the heel of my foot on the floor and rotate it over to the brake. I find my toe constantly catching the corner of the bottom of the dash piece. Especially...
I went back to the dealership today and picked the Ranger up. They said they are going to leave the ticket open. By the time I got back to town I live in I could hear the noise again. How they say they don't is beyond me. I tried to make a video but can't get phone to pick up noise. I'm going...
Some house units have a piston type metering valve. They were sized by the type of refrigerant and size of the evaporator. Same as with cap tube and expansion valves. I've heard them make a clicking sound but not consistently like this. But I'm not sure what the automotive side uses these days.
I don't know much about newer automotive A/C systems. I did mention if it could be a valve when the system is under load on a hot day. Do newer systems use a piston type valve in the evaporator?
If I turn the A/C off and leave fan running sound goes away immediately. Fan still blows air through vents. Immediately when I turn A/C back on sounds starts again. And you can hear it outside the vehicle. I've already had 3 people standing next to the truck ask me what the noise is.
Blows cold air. Actually very cold. Noise is constant once it starts. Dealership said they checked A/C system and charge is fine. If they can't replicate the sound by tomorrow morning I'm going to pick it up and I'll try to get a video clip to share.
Bought my 2024 Ranger Lariat on Sept 21st. While sitting in parking lot at work while listening to Nascar radio I could here a strange noise coming from passenger side dash area. I turned the volume down and it was pretty irritating. I turned the A/C off with the fan still running and the noise...
Has anyone tried aftermarket wheels using hub centric rings? And how was your experience? I'm looking at a set from TIS. The center bore is 106.2 mm. I know the Ranger is 93.1 mm. I've found a couple places that make hub rings. I just don't want to spend all that money and end up dissatisfied.
