Yeah I had a 2018 Canyon with the V6 non turbo and preferred it to the GM 2.7 as well. I think Ford actually underestimates their power numbers some. As far as the 10 speed helping out that makes sense.
It’s a good engine but in my opinion it feels more like a small diseal engine. Good torque but it’s laggy and mine had a very annoying turbo whistle. I still feel there is no replacement for displacement and the 2 extra cylinders make a huge difference when going to a V6. On TFL truck they raced...
Nice truck and awesome they switched out the wheels for you. Not a fan of the lariat wheels.
Drove a Colorado 4 cyl. Turbo for almost two years and owned a Ranger with the 2.3. No comparison to the V6 turbo in my lariat now. The Ford 2.3 is still quicker than the Chevy 2.7, but I would go for...
Ordered the method 703 matte black wheels for my truck. Will be mounting them with Nitto Terra Grappler G3’s, 265/70/17 (31.6”) Tires. Should look similar to pics below and tire will be about a 1/2’ wider and taller then the stock lariat wheels. Looking to mimic the setup I had on my 21...
Third one I have had on three different trucks. If installed right they are pretty waterproof and secure. Like that I can use the whole bed when cover is folded and propped up.
Have had factory spray in bed liners and aftermarket Rhino linings. I would say the Rhino lining is much better, seems to wear better and looks better longer.
Here ya go. They are pulled up and in. I had a shop throw them on as they did it for free. Will prolly pull them out a little. Also see how I had them on my 21. They do a great job protecting the truck from rocks and door dings too.
Love the look of those wheels with your truck. I’m looking at the Vector 6 from Icon in matte black. Want to go to 17 X 8.5 wheels with the 25 mm offset and 265/70/17 tires. Thinking they should fit stock no issues. How far out do the wheels/tires stick out with the 25 mm offset on those Icons...
