  1. Bike racks / mounting options options - Share your pictures

I don't, but I just measured the holes on the truck and brought the Kuat mount in with me to Ace Hardware. Nothing special.

Yeah I don't think you can do this Kuat dirtbag route and have a folding cover. Another option is to just mount it to the bed floor, which yeah, would involve drilling. If you can, I'd recommend you go with a hitch mount like a 1UP rack or a Kuat. Its the easiest way to carry/load a bike, and...

The holes were there already and thefFactory bedliner did not cover them up. No drilling needed. Do you have any holes there at all?
  4. Bike racks / mounting options options - Share your pictures

The mount is a Kuat Dirtbag. There's plenty of china-dropship ones like this on amazon I guess, but I'd rather not trust that garbage to save a few dollars. Kuat knows what they're doing. Plus, Kuat has the holes spacing measurements on their site so I was able to find out it paired up well with...

Best $30 bike rack ever 😂 yeah it's annoying taking the wheel off but whatever. I'm not into hitch racks so this is my preferred route. Kuat Dirtbag mounts perfectly to the pre-drilled holes on the driver side specifically. You'll need an Allen wrench and a bit of patience to reach the bolt...
  6. Tailgate troubles -- cable being exposed upon closing

Brillant fix! I started having this issue and I was so focused on resolving it by doing something to the cable hardware, I didn't even think doing something to the damper. Thanks!
  7. Horrible Seat Creak, something isn't right - Heading to dealer today for diagnosis

Already getting the dealership runaround as predicted. Truck is in shop for a few days so they can eventually get to assessing it. I gave them precise instructions on how to replicate sound, as well as video, as well as getting the front desk service person to see the sound. I have a hunch on...
  8. Horrible Seat Creak, something isn't right - Heading to dealer today for diagnosis

As I said in title, I'm off to the service center 2 hours so we'll see how it goes. I'm nervous about the run-around at the service center and not sure what to expect as this is my first Ford, first American vehicle, first truck. See audio in the 2 videos attached. This terrible creaking sound...
  9. Local dealer tried to tell me that people are still payng $5k - 10k over for Raptors

When I was looking for one earlier this year, then stopped, about 1 month later I got hit up by two dealers ready to do for INVOICE. I didn't take it because I was no longer looking at the time. Ford isn't gonna give these stealerships a 2025 if they still haven't managed to sell their 2024 I...
  10. Raceface T3 / Fox Mission Tailgate pad installed

Appreciate the suggestions but no way in hell I'm locking my bike up outside a store, restaurant, etc. Fwiw, I'm not new to biking either. I just go straight home from the trails. It's not worth the risk to me. If you can manage it, awesome! I'm in King county WA where bike theft is an...
  11. Raceface T3 / Fox Mission Tailgate pad installed

Haha! I'm intentionally lonely ? It holds 2 bikes, but I don't/rarely shuttle. I mostly ride solo or meet buddies at the trailheads so I don't have a need to carry other's bikes. Definitely opt for the full size pad if you have a regular shuttle crew, of course. I''m looking into a heavy duty...
  12. Raceface T3 / Fox Mission Tailgate pad installed

I've had hitch racks, roof racks, and fork mount roof racks during my MTB journey and I'm trying something different. I know hitch racks are awesome but I really don't like the look and how much they affect the rear sensors personally. If you like em, great! Its good to find what works for you...
  13. Bike racks / mounting options options - Share your pictures

Pictures as promised. I Just installed the tailgate pad: Raceface t3. I got ppf on the tailgate for peace of mind. I need to go add some shuttle armor to the bike frame. I'll make a separate thread about with more pictures since I've had a hard time finding any info about their new T3 pad that...
  14. Bike racks / mounting options options - Share your pictures

I'm in the same boat. I really don't like the look of hitch racks and how much they mess with backup cameras and sensors. I got a tailgate pad that I'm installing today for the mtb. I got a shop to do PPF on the tailgate for a decent price to give me peace of mind. I also will put some shuttle...
  15. Finally found 2024 Ranger Raptor for MSRP!!! First truck and first non-sports car > my experience so far

Yeah I have no idea if they're good or not because it's my first truck and first heavier vehicle so everything about it feels sluggish and slow. Compared to performance cars with big brakes kits, it's a joke, but that's apples to oranges. Can they be better or are we limited to braking...
  16. PPF, Ceramic Coat or Both?

I had both ppf and ceramic on my M2C. My STi was just ceramic. My 2cents, in case its helpful: Imo, unless you're washing your car every other week and it doesn't get that dirty, I didn't find the ceramic to be that huge of a help. It does to an extent but for me in the PNW the dirt, grime...
  17. Installed Ford Branded BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover on XLT FX4 Ranger

It does. But I'm specifically wanting to know how much space is here before it is folded all the way up. I'd like to know if I can fit a bike and not cover the window up.
  18. Finally found 2024 Ranger Raptor for MSRP!!! First truck and first non-sports car > my experience so far

Living the dream! That 991.1 is gonna be hard to beat. What did you like better, the C2S or the M4C, if you could only have 1? A 991 or 992 is high on my list if I ever have space for both a truck and sportscar one day.
  19. Installed Ford Branded BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover on XLT FX4 Ranger

I'm stuck deciding between the mx4 panel or the x4s roll. Could someone measure this distance for me with it folded twice, just before folding it up to the window? From inside the tailgate to the edge of the cover. I'm wanting to see if it's long enough for my mountain bike + tailgate pad.
  20. Finally found 2024 Ranger Raptor for MSRP!!! First truck and first non-sports car > my experience so far

Yeah I believe BMW had that as well. It was all electric and there was an ECU controlling the tuning of it (similar to the RR) so the top +/- 5 degrees were not twitchy. It was nice for sure, but I'll always prefer hydraulic steer in a sports car of course  And yeah I just had to get used...
