This is what Ive been thinking. They are taking "orders" from customers often with deposits, but these trucks won't actually be ordered for a long time - if ever. The customer feels good because they feel like they have their place in line early and have secured one, but in reality the dealer...
I had a dealer in New Mexico tell me they could order it right away for me - at $10k ADM. I said no and he says "well, those trucks aren't for everyone." LOL, it's going to be my next truck, clown. So it is for me.
Congrats. I just called a small Ford dealer in my home state. I've been calling tons of different dealers and finally one says the magic words: "No, our Ranger Raptor isn't sold yet." No waiting list, I was the first who called.
So all these dealers I call and they tell me the order banks haven't opened yet.... do you think they're talking about for customers to build and order because they don't know it has to be a stock order? Do you think Ford has opened them to some dealers but not all of them to avoid everyone...
I agree. And I keep throwing hail marys out there and calling dealers up and they are telling me that they're still waiting for the order banks to open up. I want to tell them they ARE open, but I have no idea what to believe anymore.
