I'm just about to place the order for the Husky Aeroskin II Hood Protector and wanted to check in. After 6 mo or so, had anyone changed their opinion of the device or is it still positive?

Same. Hopefully the next recall has a similar impact. (no noticed change or issue presented)
I just had my 2025 Lariat go to the dealership for the Recall 25S77, Loss of Brake Boost. It took under an hour and it was a SW update using the FDRS tool.
Local place did a great job and the truck looks better than just the paint that Ford protected the underside with. It comes with a lifetime transferrable warranty and I am to get it touched up every 2 years.
I'm another who recently bought my truck, setup the update schedule, and have been getting the reminder emails. I would have thought Ford would have been better.
I bought kit by Gen2Magic, it had good reviews on Amazon. It came with a bunch of stuff including clear coat. Not surprisingly, clear coat with a brush leaves a less than desirable coating. Perhaps, I just need to remind myself this is a truck and scratches and dings are inevitable.
My truck recently received damage resulting in a gouge in the bed (outside body). I ordered touch up paint with the correct paint code (M7). However it doesn't match, it's considerably darker. Has anyone else seen this problem? Do I need to get the paint from Ford?
