Not the type of guy to post pictures of my dirty RR with the new Method wheels but would like to share my experience and learnings.
First truck and first time with push through center caps.
The dealer had issues installing the wheels using only the method spline lugs. Front was still vibrating...
You probably want to intercept the signals at the B pillars, not in the door.
Colors can differs so you should look for 2 twisted wires together and do a simple 9v battery test to determine the polarity.
Adding the short Stubby antenna (not looking like a RC car)
I really like the Tuxmat solution for carpets.
I'm a fan of bedrugz
Make sure the doors close properly, without friction or resistance and require more force on some...
Mudflaps to limit the damage on your paint and car windshields...
Nice setup ! I have the RetraxPro XR with the t-slots and was wondering if my thule box would fit on the Ranger.
I've not seen my box for years (at a friend's) but I think it's a 74" length.
Could you share the exact model number or the length of your box on the picture ? Seems close to 6'
Just received mine on Tuesday (quick ship I ordered over the weekend).
I am waiting for my lights to come in so I can begin the install haha
Let's hope this goes well. Will install with a friend.
2 quarts left!?
When I suck that oil I get 6.5L, almost 7 quarts.
Never cracked the drain plug but I guess it would be less than a quarter of a quart...
You're doing something wrong there I think.
When I'm going thru the dipstick hole I do feel a resistance at some point and have to wiggle...
Same, when the passenger seat is empty, it vibrates.
This is a truck afterall... not like my Audis / BMWs
Fernando Alonso would tell you this is not even close to vibration ;-)
This power kit will give you all needed wires to power and ground the Hideaway, wake it up, and get signal from KEYLOC. High quality OFC 8 gauge is well enough.
This harness and KEYLOC will connect between the factory B&O amp and the sub. Plug and play !
This is the way
That looks super pro!
XT60 is a great idea.
Did you rewire tweeters and front channel to the rear seats by any chance?
This is THE part I'm stressed about. The rest of my build I feel quite confident (doors, power wire from battery, amp rrack, undersea sub install)
Yesh but often a component set will have a big box crossover and you have to run wire from the crossover to the tweeter.
If trying to keep stock wiring (tweeter wire coming from headunit), a simple in-line bass blocker could be used I think. I'm pretty sure they still are actively managed by...
Could work with the Alpine, it's a more refine sound, though less efficient so they will need more power from the stock amp to produce similar output with stock amp. Kicker is the better match for your application. Alpine would probably need an amp to shine.
For the sub, TBH i recommend pretty...
