  1. First Oil Change at 500 miles

Since I use Amsoil products I ordered their test kits https://www.amsoil.com/search/#q=Test&t=totalProductsTab&sort=relevancy&numberOfResults=20 But there are several other companies that do the same thing. Blackstone is one of them and you can search the other threads to see what names they...

  3. First Oil Change at 500 miles

Following all of the other threads in this category and here is my data point. Was a bit surprised with the comments from the oil analysis company, but wanted to share. 572 miles
  4. What is the consensis on the 2.7 v6 engine?

Agree with the above statements! Just crossed 1600 miles and it is 21 MPG in the metro and about 23mpg on the interstate at 75MPH (2k rpms) Sport mode with traction control off is more fun than my Mustang! (don't tell my Mustang club members!) - Joe
  5. UnderCover Pivot Storage Box in my 2025 Lariat. Install was annoying.

Does anyone know of a source for the tip-lock that locks the box to the swing frame? I had one missing, and the internet vendor is not being helpful. If you know of a source please let me know - Joe
  6. Was planning to buy a Bronco, now thinking a Ranger instead???

I've driven both and ended up with a maxed-out Lariat with the 2.7 and the FX4 package. Happy with the whole thing! Good hunting! - Joe

  8. Filled the factory step bars gap

Anodized black (looks to be metal, not sure what type)
  9. Filled the factory step bars gap

Not too hard, removal of six 10mm bolts then install the pinch gasket on the leading edge of the cover. Press it into the gap (slightly compressing it) and getting the bolts back into their nut cups. The ford line or sub contractor that put the running board on my had most of the nut cups...
  10. Filled the factory step bars gap

True, but hopefully it will keep the snow from bunching up on it!
  11. Filled the factory step bars gap

I was surprised that the filler kit came with a really nice gasket to help seal up the space. It will be interesting to see how they preform over time. Works well with the black out package theme, but not so much with my wallet! All good!

Armrest Cover would be nice! Thanks for the sponsorship to Ranger6G!
  13. Backing Up-Blind spot issue when nothing there

Yes, you can override it with the gas pedal, but the alarm keeps ringing and it's still ridding the breaks. Yes, it resets after a stop/start . Guess I'll just have to figure out my mechanics to deal with the system.
  14. Backing Up-Blind spot issue when nothing there

Ok, I see the toggle, is it just for this backup event, or is it off till I turn it back on? I'll have to play with it a bit to see if that fixes the issue. - Joe
  15. Backing Up-Blind spot issue when nothing there

Ok, I’ll look for it tonight, still getting use to all of the tech, only been driving it a week now and the online manual is a pain. May order a 2024 manual as a paper reference! - Joe
  16. Backing Up-Blind spot issue when nothing there

Yes, I have the same steep driveway issue and its worse on the new Ranger than my Subraru Forester! Just need to figure out how to disengage for that shore time, I have a virtual get to know with Ford next week, I’m going to ask them about that. -Joe
  17. Ronin Oil Drain Plug installed on '25 Ranger Raptor (Fitment Concerns)

I agree that I'm not worried about the slightly compressed spring, mine looks the same and it did pop out as it turned to the 12:00 position. there is little if no internal pressure it's holding back so I'm looking forward to using it on the next oil change! Thanks to the others who...
  18. Mounting a fire extinguisher?

The PirateCampCo company is a great bunch! I use their battery mount and the lights behind the hood bracket. - Joe
  19. Mounting a fire extinguisher?

This is what I run with in my fun car, and I'm going to put one in the new Ranger too. By attaching to the seat, it floats back and forth with the seat and is out of the way, but secure. These are general Amazon links; you may find them for less on some automotive or safety supply sites...
  20. 2025 Order update

I think they are done at a contractor's site just off the plant (Ground Effects). Check the corner of your window sticker and see if it says (Shipped through Ground Effects). My only Dealer adds were the keypad and door sills
