Same, born in ‘64,I never missed a launch or any of the excitement.
Had a great uncle that worked at the Cape, and we used to get behind the scenes to check out everything,I was,and still am,always amazed and facinated by it all.
That what really led me to get into aviation, and things mechanical...
Nice!
After my week and a half wait for fedex to finally deliver mine….because they obviously had beat the piss out of the boxes, and had the one with the hardware in it come open, mine showed up.One showed up on one day, then 2 days later they delivered the second one.(thought for sure the second...
The list is long, but its been a life long addiction lol
It started with my ‘65 Plymouth Belvedere 2
Bought it when I was 14,to build to drive once I turned 16.
Im on the left.this picture is from 1976 LOL!
It is mention and pictured numerous times that they are installed with BLUE,not red loctite.
It still makes it a total bugger to remove, and heat will melt blue as well.
But they can be removed with the proper #40 Torx plus bit.
I replaced mine with regular bolts as was mentioned in this thread also.
So far,I really like them.
The ride on the street is much better than the factory garbage.
They’re not harsh and stiff, yet very compliant over uneven stuff, including parking lot moguls.
I have not had a good opportunity to bang them around off road just yet as I just had to have a full knee...
Thank you!
It’s a pretty basic set up with Eibach pro stage 2 shocks/struts,with a BDS 1” shackle in the rear.
Lock off-road Baja wheels 17x9’s with 285 General Grabber X3’s all 5
Rival full set of skid plates
A mix of Morimoto and Diode Dynamics lights, using the Auxbeam controller.
Have RCI...
I have this guy

My swing box came from Real truck, which I’m pretty sure is exactly the boxes Ford puts their logo on and sells accordingly.
I bought mine on sale they had.
It has 3 anchor points bolted to the bed floor, and yes then ratchets to secure the tire to the bed floor. It alllows you to have multiple tire sizes, diameter and width.
You can most definitely pat it and say, that ain’t going nowhere!
Skar sub with the cover fits fine.
Im driving mine with a Skar 800.1 amp,and hits harder than I was expecting.
Not disappointed at all with this simple setup
Added a swing case from Reat truck to the drivers side, and installed my N-Fab spare tie down.
Added a couple of adjustable position cross bars for hauling things above bed.
Still need to mount my air compressor to the left of the spare.
But coming along.
