with minor modification to the brackets they are sending you, you should be able to make it work. I was doing it last night in the dark so it seemed difficult but today I'm gonna do the driver side and try not to cut anything on the plastic trim and just make a few small mods to the metal...
absolutely understand and I’m super excited to have these so I can help refine the mounting plate for future use! I think it will be really easy to get right and make for a seamless install with a few more minor modifications to the mounting bracket!
i used blackstone for my first oil change as well... thanks for posting this! i will be doing my 15K mile oil change here in the next month or two and i'll be getting my oil sent off for analysis so i'll post results. glad to see that most of the break in copper and silicone are out of the...
the 'live valve' is basically making the hole that the fluid in the shock flows through larger or smaller as to increase or decrease stiffness. if the valve were to fail, it would just stop adjusting and it would act as a regular shock... i'm not sure if it would fail in the open position or...
Hey guys and gals, Signature Lux reached out to me a few weeks ago about trying to fit the Aus spec aftermarket fog lights in a US spec Ranger Raptor and it took me over 4 hours just to get the pax side in with a LOT of filing of the brackets and a little bit of trimming of plastic (nothing...
The clearance is already pretty tight for a sheet of plywood between the wheel wells… has anyone tried fitting plywood or drywall in with the bed rug? Stock is 48.2 inches so we have less than 1/4” to play with and I wasn’t sure if the bed rug on both sides would be more than that.
great idea about chocking the wheels... i actually have wheel chocks but for some reason thought i would be okay without them. And i agree, these seem too weak, i dont think i'll be crawling under the truck when it is up on these anymore. I think you are right about the head rests popping out...
i dont know the build date of the truck, i'll have to look into that and get back to you... rust like this can pop up in a couple days so that is no real indication of the time it sat
I saw someone else post about the rusty drive shafts and i went and took a look at mine and i'm in the same boat... i'll be talking to the dealer tomorrow about my map/dome light issues and i'll also ask them what they plan to do about all the rust on my 6 day old truck. i'll keep you posted...
thanks... good to know i'm not just being an idiot haha... i have an appt set up for monday to have the dealer take a look... i'll let you all know what happens
thanks for the note about the beadlock not being DOT approved. that is great to know. I dont see myself needing that feature to be honest... after some searching, it looks like that is really only necessary for rock crawlers airing down to like 4 PSI going 0.5 mph over bolders... super cool to...
I love this thing... i cant get the DAMNED MAP LIGHTS to turn on, but lets be honest, i can go my entire time owning this without ever needing those. Here is my video from today...
I put together another video today about a few things… biggest issue is that my interior map lights don’t turn on, what am I doing wrong?!?! I’ll check fuse tomorrow.
Turns out it is the heating ducts… I’m being more deliberate with my feet and not hitting it as much but I may still trim it back. I’m gonna give it another week or two. I made a video today showing where it is…
3 day 350 mile thoughts
After a few days with the RR, I have a few thoughts... sorry for the long video... I will try to get better but there was a lot of things to discuss and I suck at editing and knowing what to put in the video.
2 biggest things though...
1. there is some sort of plastic...
