Did what you said, that removes even the little seatbelt light! Today I changed it back so I get the little red seatbelt icon in the instrument panel, ans the seatbelt nag is back on but goes away on its own as soon as the red belt minder goes away. I'm ok with that. Also verified that the...
I have made myself a mini-check list: engine on, ASS off, parking brake off, seat belt on, nag message off....yes the seat belt window pops up still (empty) and patiently waits for me to click OK...how do I get rid of that?
I managed to turn on outside temp on IPC, and enable mud/ruts/sand mode; selected offroad screen type I on APIM but haven't seen it displayed on center screen yet. Also turned off seatbelt minder nag!
Yes, I know... my gen 5 STX had the FX4 package with a locker; this one was the only STX on the lot and did not have the locker; but I think I'll live. I did notice that Ford performance does offer a Ford Trac-lok for the M-220 as an upgrade (I know...not the same)
question for those who have turned on Trail control and other drive modes (mud/ruts), did you also turn on off-road page on APIM? Without the center console button, how do you get to the off-road page? I ask because my truck did not come with an e-locker (just an STX), and am guessing that...
As far as i know, you have always been able to turn off DRL by simply turning the swich to off, as it was in my 5g and 6g ranger. The autolock control, and a host of othet options are only accessible with trans in park and parking brake on
Autolock feature disabled...bambi mode on, compass enabled on cluster, TPMS display PSI and temperature! Couldn't find an option to turn on outside temperature display in the cluster.
As we can see from the pictures, the front floor pans are different between the 5G and 6G, so i will probably order me some newer, betterfitting weathertech mats for the front. The rear ones fit fine. Ordered me some Raptor spray-on bedliner; had great results with it in my previous Ranger. Also...
Wow! they put running boards on the FX4 package? Kinda kills your break-over angle doesn't it?. Truck looks nice with those wheels though.
Upgrades so far:
-Black leather steering wheel cover from Stitchingcovers.com....very nice OEM like but a bear to put on.
-Muslogy mud/splash guards
-Ford...
Well, kinda too early for me to pass judgement, I barely have 225 miles on my 6G STX 4x4, but compared to my 5G STX 4x4 FX4, which drove like an ape on meth in D and a total Lunatic in S mode, the 6G seems slightly detuned in "normal" mode, compared to my old one...I got smoked at a traffic...

MSRP: $38,600
My price: $34,740
Got the ESP for 84 months/160k miles
helluva deal for a pretty plain-jane truck, but that's how I like'em
Greetings 6G'ers,
I just picked up my 6G Ranger today, coming from the 5G world. My 2019 STX FX4 was totalled during a snow storm a couple of weeks ago (nobody got hurt). So I am starting on the 6G journey here! So far I was able to transplant my Gator tri-fold tonneau cover and 3/4 of my...
Oh boy, here we go....
First car 1976 Toyota Corolla...1.6 liter 4 cylinder with a 3-speed auto (stuck in third so had to shift manually)...bought for $1.00 from my ex sister in law...got me through freshman year of college
A total dog, and by the time I sold it it had more fiberglass than...
