I actually think there are a few attractive features about the 24 Ranger like the 4' wide bed between wheel tubs, power rear slider and memory seat functions. But saying that I still think holding back the 2.7L and the poor color choices are preventing some of the orders.
Depends on the gear ratio they use for the 2.7L. If they use a 3.5:1 ratio it should get pretty good mileage compared to the 2.3L. The F150 weighs about 400lbs more that the current Ranger.
I have a feeling the one Raptor these dealers get will not be sold for about a month like other Ford special vehicles. They are required to stay on the dealer lot for a period of time for people to see and touch.
Also Toyota dealer said people can't order builds (at least for the RAV4) but think...
Nope I wouldn't pay over MSRP because if people stopped buying over sticker they would no longer ask it. I don't need a truck that bad to put the value upside down because of a markup.
I think Shelter green will sell the best and think they should offer it on the other trims too. Think it would help those sales because the rest are plain except Hot pepper red which also looks great.
The grill, colors and lack of front bumper are really on only negatives for me. The grill is easily changed to something more appealing in aftermarket but the other two not.
How about the Shelter Green on Lariat model too? The other colors are blah from the last few years. Grey, grey another form of grey silver white black...
They should add features people want if they truly want the sales. And fix the problems on their trucks so people buy the next version when they want to upgrade. Too many choices out there to snub off your customers with quality and service after the sale.
The only reasons I'm considering moving up from my 22 Ranger to the 24 is the width of the bed between the wheels. I hate storing and loading a platform to haul plywood and drywall above my wheels. If the GMC Canyon had the width I would be switching back to GM. Ford service is terrible compared...
