Allegedly the entire interior has be redesigned. The leaked photos definitely look like a substantial aesthetic improvement; I'm hoping that means better ergonomics too because the 5g didn't feel roomy or impressive when compared to the new Maverick and some of its direct competitors.
I just looked at the Canyon Denali and it is very appealing... right up until you consider the engine performance to fuel economy. That amount of power for 19 mpg combined is a big detraction for me; the 20+ threshold is much stronger psychologically than I thought it would be.
I was basing my guesses off of 2023's fully loaded Lariat non-Tremor prices.
That being said, the cheapest XLT Tremor you could get this year was $45k and $48k for the cheapest Lariat Tremor. If they introduce the 2.7l, it'd be safe to assume there will be a price premium for it (maybe $2.5k?)...
Ford is only estimating being able to build 40% of the ordered Maverick Hybrids this year, with no accounting for any hybrids hitting dealer stock. Escape (and Corsair) PHEVs and even the standard hybrids are booked well beyond capacity. The Chevy Bolt EUV is still a unicorn in the vast majority...
I feel like we are all replying to different parts of different posts (I was replying to #90 without regards to #83 using a tangential response on a different forum months ago); but the silver lining is that we all seem to be meeting each other on respectable levels without any accusations of...
The base price seems to be comparable to a 2023 Lariat 501a Tremor (currently ~$50k).
If Ford decided to lock the 2.7l as an "option" behind the Lariat trim (per the leaked engine sticker showing a 2.7l option), that could make a Lariat FX4 or Lariat Tremor a great "in-between" from the base...
This is nothing new. Decades ago people made similarly poor arguments regarding the mass proliferation of air conditioning/central air in homes.
Here is a link to the original post I made on the Ford Maverick forum regarding virtually the same thing. I have sources and links with extensive...
I'm no scientist (first ever to admit that on an internet discussion board, lol), but I think:
Sunroof/moonroof used in conjunction with windows is better for overall cabin ventilation and climate control: the side windows pull air in, air circulates in the cabin, and air is sucked out through...
A decent PHEV (~35 mile range) that can also utilize the battery for onboard power would be an absolute dream for Ford to roll out into their trucks (F-150, Ranger, and Maverick). I would gladly sacrifice all under-seat storage if it meant they could fit an ~18kWh pack in there.
My wife has a 6...
PowerBoost seems to be the most plausible of all hybrid formats for the Ranger to be implemented first. It would be amazing if they found a way to adequately incorporate the PowerBoost into the 2.3l or 2.7l.
The current PowerBoost on the F-150 is amazing for low-end torque and Pro Power...
For me, the biggest hangup with the 5g Ranger was the interior being so terribly outdated, drab, and cheap (all the way to Lariat trim).
While I currently think I like the 5g exterior better than the 6g, it is also hard to compare a 5g built the way you want it to look vs spy photos of a 6g...
