I couldn’t find a conversation about this. I can’t find a Ford tune for the 2.7 ranger but there is one for the Bronco. Do you think the engines and transmissions are significantly the same so the tune would work on the Ranger?
I think the only thing my truck doesn’t have is a trailer brake and/or the trailer backup assist. I wonder if anybody with those options could determine if it is for a trailer based wiring harness.
Well, so far that is the only actual use of the part. Agree that it appears to be for something else but at least, in this photo, it is being used for something else but:)
I am thinking about installing a trickle charger so I opened the hood/bonnet to look for space and I FOUND THIS, Michigan made Ranger 2.7 Lariat- passenger side. Surely somebody knows what it is for???
Maybe it is just your photographic skills but that truck looks great just the way it is. I can understand the allure of a lift kit for sure. Mine is same colour- Lariat 2.7 with the 18 inch wheels. I found some black wheels with a 25 offset that I will be running in summer. Solid winters here...
This might sound
This might sound sarcastic but what is the thinking behind making a performance module for the Raptor vs the 2.3 or the 2.7. There will be far more “non” raptor rangers on the road than raptors. Is there a general assumption that only Ranger Raptor drivers are interested in...
Sorry I am just figuring out how to post things, I hope I am attaching a photo. I want to be able to store wheels and kit under a tonneau cover so I got a cover with T slots no use them for my older round bar Yakima racks. I can also set it up to carry bikes across the bed if required. 4...
I did a lot of research a few months ago and looked at many of the retractable covers. The Retrax and Leer products might meet your needs best. Consider what else you might want to do with your truck, like do you want to install a ladder rack some times for work or play. Do you want or need T...
An update just in case anybody is following, considering this cover as an option. I also submitted a warranty claim and they sent me replacement rails. The replacement rails are exactly he same as the original rails so they will have the same fit issues. The communication with BAK was good but...
This looks like a subject that has been discussed but as a new owner that just “renewed” my Ford Premium Connectivity to give myself some time to figure out what it is all about. Well, it seems there is very little value there. If you drive 8 hours a day and stream Amazon music all day long...
It’s nice to see the Ranger 2.7 get a little attention. I have had my Lariat 2.7 for almost a month. The power delivery through the 10 speed transmission is very good and I’m sure if I wished, I could do all kinds of customizations, through it was a factory order and I like it just like it is. I...
I’m not young, so maybe that is my biggest problem. Just a couple weeks in to ownership of a Ranger Lariat. I am used to using CarPlay and that seems to work really well in the new Ford. I am subscribed to Amazon Unlimited music so I thought I would try that out. When I access it through CarPlay...
The Ibex recently got onto my radar after I saw that they have an adapter for T slot rails. I have the BAK X4TS. I have never seen an Ibex unit “in the flesh” but I like the concept. Lots to learn. Your mods are very good and the finished look is awesome.
Has anybody that installed the X4S or the X4TS “contoured” the rails at the back of the box so they don’t stick out like in these pictures? I just installed mine this morning and I knew it would look like that but I do think I will do some “shaping” somehow. My experience has been that it...
Interested to hear if the replacement is any different. I just installed an X4TS on my vehicle this morning. I was also only able to get the one bolt in the front. If I install both bolts I’m unable to get the back to line up properly with the tailgate.I did a lot of research before landing on...
