Dealer pulled seat anad replaced plastic piece under the seat that had not been secured when built and tied up a loom that was hanging down under the seat. Memory function on seat is restored.
Switching travel trailer battery to lithium. There are posts on the internet saying you should install a DC/DC converter if you do not have a "protected alternator" in the tow vehicle (to protect against overheating and premature failure of the alternator). Anyone know if the Ranger has this...
Haven't had a chance to take it out yet - just got it home. It's a 2023 model 2018TB - we really like that floorplan with the twin beds- converts to King bed if you want and has nice large dinette and bathroom - plus Dometic absorption refrigerator !!
No WDH because I wanted to see how it towed without one. For what it is worth Winnebago stated it was not necessary on this trailer with the tow vehicle I proposed. When I bought my last trailer - an Rpod- dealer wanted me to buy a WDH - but I did not and never felt any need for...
Previous tow experience (other than a 2500 lb. sled boat I have towed for 15 years and a 20 ft. Komfort trailer I towed 30 years ago) has been an Rpod 190 for the past 3 years. That trailer is 1000# lighter and single axle and 6.5' wide body compared to new trailer 7' wide body.
Just towed this home - three hour drive. No weight distribution hitch. Truck only dropped 2"
Was pretty impressed - the 2.3 did a better than expected job even climbing grades.
Update: service department said -yes, only halfway across - on driver side- I must have misundersood. Frequently comes loose like mine because wasn't fastened well at factory.
Parts department now tells service department they can't order new pad because there is no part # for it.
Welcome...
After waiting for a long time, my dealer says engineering from Ford communicated to them that 1) the foam pad behind the cab should be there, 2) it is there for sound deadening, 3) it frequently comes loose, 4) the fix is to pull the bed and reinstall new foam !!
This sounds kind of crazy...
I have used one in the past and been very happy with it. When programming to Ranger had problems - phone said Bluetooth was on but would not program to phone. Curt guided me to the list of apps that were connected to Bluetooth, the Echo was not. So once I turned that on, everything went fine.
Thanks for the reply - the box is a gray metal box under the seat. Finally got under there and it looks like its a wire loom that may be catching on the gray box. Seat moves forward and backwards but stops on the back travel about 2/3 of the way back. Did finally get it to move all the way...
Driver seat will only go 2/3 of the way back - looked under the seat and saw a platic guard that goes around a grey box and it looked a little melted and had popped up. I pushed it back down - but still no dice. Notice the memory buttons are not working - not sure if there is a connect with...
Getting ready to pickup a small travel trailer tomorrow and noticed the 7 way connecter in the truck is installed with the groove facing down where the trailer plugs in - I have never seen this before - is this normal or factory goof up. I am using a CURT ECHO PLUG-In Controller and don't...
