I mean, you can just turn the sensitivity all the way down. There is no way to disable it in software that I can tell. But also this isn't something that's going to go off in a wind storm unless you have it way too sensitive to begin with. I have mine really low to avoid false alarms from my...

Has anyone found a dealer in CA that does the Ford extended warranty at close to dealer cost? Apparently CA has a law that forbids out of state warranties... So Granger, Flood, etc. are not an option. Not convinced I want/need one yet, but am thinking about it. If I can't get one without a 50%...
Had this happen to me today as well. Drove to a restaurant no problem, went in and picked up my food, but when I started the truck 5 mins later it read 5mph sitting still and gave the steering assist fault. Turned it off and on and it sat at 1mph for a min before settling down to 0 and had no...
There's another thread on the aliexpress/alibaba steps here with a bit less positive view on them https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/aliexpress-bed-step.15074/
I'd still say they're worth it, but just inspect them closely and be aware there could be issues.
I went through this on my '24 as well. They replaced the battery at 9k miles/16 months (during my curtain airbag recall) after it wasn't holding a charge. Never got bad enough to disable the app, but Auto Stop Start would never work. Went through a ton of troubleshooting to try and find a drain...
I solely used the term "checkup" when I was there and dealing with them... not service, which is why I was surprised when they came back with a list of $1500 worth of service items instantly... and their "your truck is 2 years old" is BS too because the truck isn't even 2 yet... it was delivered...
And of course they can't get the shocks until next week... Then they said it was ready to pick up and left me waiting for 20 mins because it was being washed... Happy they did, but why tell me it's ready when it's not?
Guess I should consider myself lucky that the recall repair went smoothly...
Good to know on the Ford vs Dealership services... will definitely remember that in the future...
Also just got a text with an inspection video showing my rear shocks as being bad and leaking oil everywhere... Mechanic doing the inspection said it "looks like they've been leaking for a while"...
So to start with I took my truck in for the airbag recall at around 9000 miles, and recently (now at 10,500 mi) I realized that my 10,000 mile service due notice went away in the app. I called the dealer and asked if they had performed the 10k inspection during the recall service and the gal dug...
I ended up putting the extender from my previous post on my xmas list and got it (was only $100 during the holiday sales), so I can confirm it does fit. Seems it's no longer available now though (but the one from the OP is back in stock, so /shrug). Least we have another option I suppose.
It...
Installed mine today too! Got the cam (Cievie C200) and cable (the Hifihia knockoff) as a Christmas gift. Got a short (3") USB cable off of Amazon and it looks nice and clean! Can't even see it from the driver's seat unless I'm looking for it.
Still wish I could find a similar cable with a 90...
Awesome, thanks for the update. Totally going to do both of those plates like I was originally thinking then. Will probably wait til my credit card recovers a bit from the holidays though since they aren't doing any sales or anything.
I put mine in the corner of the little arch above the center console. I took it out and drilled a 9/32" hole, popped the led in and put it back in. I routed the wire down following the cable for the airbag light (I stuck a fish tape up from the glove box side to pull it down).
I still had a copy on my phone. See attached!
Do also note the LED is sold separately if you want it... I tried to buy it from a Ford dealer, but they had it marked as needing to be installed by a dealer so they refused to sell it without a $70 install fee, so I ended up buying that on ebay.
Also the install manual didn't come in the box, but I found a copy here on the forum somewhere... I can dig it up again if you need, but right now I have to get to sleep.
I bought one from oempartsonline and installed it myself. I think I paid about $250. It wasn't that hard to put in, hooks to the same box/harness as the 4dtech auto start/stop eliminator (I have them daisy chained and they both work fine).
Only fun part was finding a place to put it. I...
