I alway get the pop up to return to the Eco mode (or whatever I was on if it was not Normal) but it seems to go away quickly, especially with the seat belt pop up. It would be nice if you could set a default or it would just stay in the previous mode. One of the minor annoyances of the truck.

I am pretty sure they are the same brace, Ford just includes it when you buy the topper.

This was my 2nd choice for color option. I ended up going with the Hot Pepper Red, it was really a toss up as this looks great too.

The question becomes can the dealer charge additional istallation charges in addition to the $192 or do they have to honor that. I asked my dealership for a qupte to install the braces and they said $412, which does not include parts cost.

I have found I need to hold my finger on the handle for a little longer to fold the mirrors. A short press seems to just lock the doors and holding for 1/2 a second longer gets the mirrors to fold too.

There are several YouTube videos with tutorials to custome paint the embles. It seems like an involved process, but I am considering doing it at some point.

It is an issue with every ranger if you want to install anything above the bed rails.

Also, I how do you like the Yakima rack? That is one I'm looking at.

Have you already had the J Braces installed?

Yes, the J-Braces have been an on going conversation with the dealer. Sadly they knew nothing regauding this issue until I raised the issue.
