I figured that much itās why Iām leaning a lot more towards the Ranger 2.3L. And with the new added port fuel injection and the 10R60 transmission makes it a good package for what Iām seeing.. the also plus side, itās all gear driven oil pump and timing chain, no wet belts whatsoever..
Thank you for the heads up on tranny issues, itās been something on the back of my head about the 10R80. From the latest 2025-2026 Ranger itās said to be 10R60, will just have to see..
Thanks for the heads up cause my thoughts is keeping the truck for the next 10-15 yrs and just meticulously maintaining it. Which is what Iāve done with my 2nd Gen Taco(600+K miles before I sold it)
Not yet, Iām in the process of researching at this point and possibly in a month or two, pull the trigger on a FX4 Off Road Crew cab XLT with New 2.3L.
Also Iām just seeing what new colors Ford will come out with for 2026 and if thereās any changes with the new already done weāll 2025 2.3L.
So, Iāve never owned a Ranger. All Iāve known is Toyota 2nd and 3rd Generationās.
I really like the 2025-26 Ranger FX4 OFF ROAD 300A package.
My question is, what do I need to watch out for concerning the new Generation Ranger? Reliability? Maintenance? Etcā¦
