I do believe going from the top is the best way. But in all honesty, it’s really not difficult to remove the liner inside the wheel well and get the filter that way. I use a Quickjack to lift the truck which takes weight off the wheel and provides extra room to work.

The brake lines are behind that area. You actually need to reach around them, to the right of that area you want to cut out, to reach the filter.

Always a good addition to the bed of your truck For organizing small items.

I could also reach the filter from the top, but wanted to see how tight it was thru the wheel well. I lifted the truck and removed the liner which made the filter accessible. But all future changes will be from the top.

I really like that intake system. Is it still in prototype or is it available to purchase?

How complicated is the install? Any wiring or cameras need moved or is the installation just tabs?

Which engine in your XLT? Any pictures under the truck?

Your options are a 2.3 XLT Fx4 or 2.7 XLT Sport. I’d worry less about which engine to get and more about the options on each vehicle. The Fx4 will have locking rear differential for example. You really can’t go wrong with either engine, what are the options you want and which truck has them?

I would consider looking locally for another vehicle. Getting the seat swapped out might be difficult with an out of state dealership.

It does appear like the Husky mat has better coverage under the gas pedal, but I kinda like the Ford mats quality better. Also kinda like the “Ranger” branding.
