I think width should be OK. I think at lock stock I had a tiny bit of wiggle room still, so I think width is OK. Height wise is where I dont know, since a true 33 scrubs without new offset/spacers with the Dobs level (1.5"). It seems to me with spacers though a 33 would fit now.
I keep a hndful of fuses, a small socket set, a handful of hand tools (pliers, screwdriver, duct tape, zip tie), jumper cables, a gallon of water (for me or the car), some snacks, fire extinguisher, chain, serp belt, headlight, at least. Now in the offroad rigs (Exploder and Ranger), then I...
It doesnt stick out as far as your hammock, but on the Explorer people have bumped it before with just a standard ball on it, and its still fine. Maybe I should get a pintle :giggle: stick out further!
Height wise, with the Dobs lift on this one, a 33 would probably scrub at lock. So my guess is a 32.6 would also scrub, especially with no front level. But that's just my assumption, and to assume is to make an ass out of you and me haha. (Ass u me)
Got it. I wonder if those would comply with emissions here? I have no clue what its like over there emission wise. I only know they have a diesel, and we unfortunately dont:(
I was asking about the normal ones, I did see their Raptor one! Hopefully that means one will come out someday.
Looks like ARB and the overseas companies have extended fuel tanks, but I doubt we can get those here. Long range America according to their waitlist, doesnt look like they have plans for a 6g Ranger. Does anyone know of any mfrs that might be making them at some point? The tank in the Ranger...
Ive had issues with an ESOF 4runner going into low. Sometimes I had to rock it a bit (ie move a tiny bit) to get it to go into 4L. Other than that, it seems youre doing everytjing right. Putting it Neutral, not moving (foot on brake), thats what works for this Ranger. If youre on a straight...
I too am!
Street comfort I think is actually slightly better than stock. The small imperfections I dont ffeel quite as much, and it isnt as skiddish on washboard roads. Turning feels about the same as stock. Offroad I heard it gained 2" travel in the rear, I cant remember about the front. I...
It still has a little rake to hitch the boat up, but at 2-2.5" should be level with no load.
Let me get bsck to you on that one. It was the IMS shocks front rear and the front spring was the one that was 0-95# load and 2"? I think. Ill check when Im home.
I bought an Amazon swingaway first for this Ranger. As I recall, it was an issue of mounting. I think with some bracketry for the front side, it could work. I was just too lazy to do that, and elected to just throw a bin in the bed.
The Dobs lift is in! Netted us 1.5" of lift, though it could be adjusted up to 3". It handles amazingly ont he road, its smoother over small bumps, and according to the Shock Surplus team, is right at home doing 40 on washboard roads. Seems like it also handles good getting sideways on the dirt...
Update: The Dobs lift is in! It rides a bit smoother over small bumps, still good road feel, handles great. There will be a video out from Shock Surplus on it! Seems they were really impressed by it!
I'm loving the Ranger. Coming from the 90s Explorers & 4runner, and full size Fords, the Ranger is super comfortable and easy to drive. Not sure I need the cameras and all the tech it has, but eh whatever. It's still a super comfy and quick ride either way!
Someone else I heard has it already, so I might be second third something like that. But in general, I dont like being the test mule... but at the same time Dobins usually makes real good stuff!
