that would be doing the opposite of what id suggest. thats a coax speaker. you will want a component speaker with the separate tweeter. the jbl939 would lower the sound stage back down to your knees by moving the tweeters lower which is a step backwards

the airbags dont go down the a pillar on either side but maybe 4" at the top portions. sound wise its great! i have the full system wrapped up now. so the pillar speakers are crossed over at a 320hz hpf and will reach 20k hz the stock tweeter has a capacitor on it to act as a high pass filter...

putting a coax in the front doors may give you a very bright and uneven front sound stage since you will have tweeters in the doors and a pillars. a 6x9 component set would yeild better results

no direct help from me but MTI Acoustics does A LOT of ford b&o upgrades with similar gear as you are using. they seem to use the Nav part for amp integration to keep everything happy. might be worth sending them an email to pick their brain

go slow ha. lots of small screws and clips. i did it on a hot day and was maybe 3 hours start to finish so wasnt too bad. remove the headrests or recline the seats all the way back to let the headliner drop low enough to work above it
