I've been away for a month, and the RR is home in the garage, so haven't had a chance to talk it in yet. Funny that after about 20 days of no use, I got a message in Fordpass that the RR was going into battery saver mode. We'll see if it starts when I get home.
If you would like a wireless controller without needing your cell phone, have a look at the Tekonsha Prodigy RF. I used one on several vehicles and it worked great. The controller mounts to the trailer and the remote plugs into a 12v jack. Here its a link etrailer.com
And the missing TBC is not preventing anyone from towing. Only from towing with an optional TBC. It’s an optional device that you can purchase from any trailer/towing parts supplier, along with a wiring harness that makes it plug and play (in most cases). The advanced towing pkg is more than...
I find this whole conversation rather silly. It's like asking why all Whoppers don't come with bacon. The truck was either ordered with the advanced towing pkg, or it wasn't. I've had plenty of vehicles come with 7 pin jacks and no TBC so had to add an aftermarket TBC. It's nice that it's even...
Does it happen all the time, or only when you first start driving? All of my recent vehicles have had had some amount of cold tire flat spotting but it goes away after the tires get warm, usually within 5 miles. And it is the worst the day after a long drive.
It depends how secure you want it. A hard cover with a twist lock is probably the most secure. Everything else is just a deterrence to slow down someone that really wants into the bed.
I haven't talked to the dealer about it yet. It's a tough one because I only notice it when I'm in the drivers seat where it is quite obvious. You can't see it while walking around the front of the truck. I've tried to take a picture to capture it but there are too many reflections on that...
I just checked and mine does have a chip in the same spot on the driver's side. The taillight is touching the fender there too. I wonder if it was done during installation. They can fix it at the same time they fix my hood that is dented near the heat extractors. Based on my paint thickness...
I finally got my Raptor back from the dealer this week after a 2 week downtime waiting for drivers side front axel assy and parts. The CV boot had ruptured and lined my wheel well with grease at under 300mi. So, today I was finally able to install some of the parts that had been accumulating in...
I don't know that the issue with dropping audio in CarPlay is isolated to Ford. I've had very similar issue with CarPlay in my BMW and other rental cars. And it was worse with my iPhone XR than it is with my 15 Pro. I most often notice it when Waze or Google maps voice directions stop. Google...
I have three different Chamberlain openers with three different colored learn buttons. Using the learn button to program my different vehicles Homelink buttons has always been hit and miss. Sometime it works first try other times not at all. One of my openers has a learn button on the wired...
I have had great luck using the Tekonsha Prodigy RF controller on other vehicles. The controller mounts on the trailer and not in the truck, so no wiring in the truck, saving a lot of time and hassle. It has 12v remote display/control that you can toss in the console when not in use.
I have the exact same dimples on mine. I only see it when the light is at the right angle. On a sunny day it is most noticeable. And like you said, once you see it you can't stop noticing it.
