Most/All 5W-40 Rotella T6 is not certified for gasoline engines, I know it works (I've used it too), but I'd recommend using an API SN-Plus rated oil until at least the warranty period ends. I know it's an opinion, but if you end up with a busted engine, things could get interesting.

So for clarity, you took the ends off your stock hose and used them on the mishimoto hoses? Did that end up destroying the factory hose? I did see some connectors like that available from UPR in case anyone wants to keep their stock hose unmolested.

In 100K miles of Focus ST and 5400 miles of Ranger I have not yet needed the tool for that size filter. However, I do have one that fits the FL500S and a larger filter I had on my Jeep. I'll probably get one of those twisty ones that tightens around the filter as you twist it. I'll have to wait...

There's two variants, one is an LT265XXR17 and the other is just a 265XXR17. They also come on the 18's, but only without the LT designation.
