  1. Report: Hybrid Ford Ranger Arrives in 2024

That's what I did when I had my Sport Trac and it had a bed, just a really short one. I bought an Aluma 8'x12' utility trailer and I still use it quite a bit even with my current F-150. At this point Ford will really have to get out of their Ranger funk here in North America before I would trade...
  2. Report: Hybrid Ford Ranger Arrives in 2024

As for the F-150 vs Ranger debate, I currently own a 2018 F-150 but had smaller Ford trucks ('83, '94 & '02 Rangers & '07 Sport Trac) prior to that. I wasn't impressed with what I saw as a half-arsed effort by Ford on the current Ranger. However, if they do bring to the North American market...
  3. All-New 2023 Ford Ranger (XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak) Global Reveal!

I agree that since the Bronco already uses the 2.3 and 2.7 EBs and uses the same basic frame (albeit lengthened) as the 6G Ranger and is built in the same plant, it would seem there is no physical reason why Ford can't use the same drivetrain options in both. However, and I'm not saying this...
  4. All-New 2023 Ford Ranger (XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak) Global Reveal!

In response to all the comments about the lack of a long bed crew cab combination, the one saving grace may be that VW is also using this platform for the next Amarok and they may require that combination. Unfortunately, even if they do that might not help the NA market anyway since the Amarok...
  5. All-New 2023 Ford Ranger (XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak) Global Reveal!

The 2.3L from the '80s was a completely different engine from the turbo engine in current use in multiple Fords, including the Ranger. The 2021 F-150 PowerBoost uses the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 along with an electric motor in series with the torque converter. That's a bit of an apples to oranges...
  6. Ranger Raptor coming to the US?

Some sources like C&D are guessing the starting price will be in the mid 40s. Hope they're right. I'm still a bit skeptical that we will actually get the Raptor. Just because left hand drive versions have been spotted testing that doesn't necessarily mean it is coming here. There are plenty of...
