It does not. Scheduling is done on Thursday, and barring any email system delays the emails are out by end of day Thursday.. with some carrying over to Friday if the Ford email system is running slow.
If you don't have an email yesterday or today... you're not scheduled (or, the dealer hosed...
Orders preview earlier in the week though, so a dealer can see how many orders are previewing which normally translates to getting scheduled on Thursday.
No, you got it because it's been ~45 days since they said "We'll email you in 45 days". People have gotten them on the day they've been scheduled for Mavericks... it's an automated email, that has no knowledge of your order status.
You can come to that conclusion, but.. it's the wrong one.. order banks are very much open for the '24 Ranger..including the Raptor.. but dealerships have all been told they're only going to get 1 initial allocation.
If I didn't have the Maverick.. I'd get a Ranger before a F-150.. full size is just.. inconvenient in town,, I was looking at Rangers when the Mav was announced.. everyone thought that was going to be the new Ranger reveal at first..
This is why the lack of advertisements from Ford about the new Ranger is.. weird. It's not the Maverick, it won't be an insta-hit by filling a niche that was totally un-served at introduction.. But, if you're not a Truck or Ford "enthusiast".. you don't know the '24 Ranger is a new generation.
Review/Press units are not considered "retail".. they're built for Ford, and Ford sends them out to the review sites (or, does like they did for the Ranger Reveal, and has all the reviewers out to a site to see them).
Do we even know if any dealer knows how many non-Raptor Rangers they're going to get allocated for the first scheduling batch yet?
While it shouldn't stop them from entering the order.. I suppose it's possible the dealer doesn't actually know how many Ranger Allocations they're getting yet..
Assuming they got your email address entered correctly on the order, should have gotten the confirmation email within a few minutes of them actually entering the order (when I ordered my Maverick, I had the confirmation email before I left the dealership).
The "we need allocations before you...
I'm in the same boat.. I haven't placed my order yet, because I can't decide.. I need to find something else in Azure Gray to see how it looks in person, and if it's like Hot Pepper Red where it changes based on lighting conditions..
I don't think dealers can move stuff to 99... that's where Ford moves orders there are issues with (no COVP, needs to be rolled over to the next model year, etc..).
There also hasn't been talk about any constraints for the Ranger.... and with 1800 retail orders in the bank last I heard...
